This scene establishes the tone of the game so well, as well as the stakes that apply to Link personally as well as the whole kingdom, it's one of the reasons I love this game so much.

Am I the only one who thinks Link’s scream when he’s first pulled into the twilight sounds way more agonizing than when he’s transforming? Like there was legit genuine shock and terror in it, holy crud

He got pulled into a void against his will basically by a demon (shadow beast) and then turned into a wolf. Which I'm sure he felt twist and altering his body. He legit probably thought he was dying.

The tri force of power and wisdom actually have powers that the user can use hence they use it to keep there forms. Triforce of Courage is just a fail safe. You have to be courages to act on your own and the tri force of courage is just there to make sure you don’t die or show up to fight without a way to win. Hence he was in twighlight without the master sword so it made him a divine wolf so he could defeat the creatures of dark
