Thank you very much for your feedback. I'll be mindful of the background music in the next video. A WIFI MESH SYSTEM is not exactly a new WIFI system but it's not old either. It's main purpose is to maintain signal strength and speed anywhere in your home. The purpose of this channel is to show ways to save while you enjoy technology. I hope this helps.

The range of the RE650 AC2600 IS 14000 SQFT(1301 SQM). It's a very powerful range extender that can be used as an access point and as an extender. It all depends on your placement .

I thought it's a real-world review, like putting it in a place where you can't reach your wifi, and with the help of this device, it gives the same speed test result as the router can provide.

@TECHONABUDGET007 3 жыл бұрын
It's a review on how you can incorporate devices like RE650 with the current WiFi systems (MESH NETWORK) to reach areas that your WiFi cant reach in your house . Its a review that helps to inform people that can't afford the prices of the newer WiFi devices , on how to still get the benefits of these newer devices without breaking the bank. All WiFi devices ultimately are limited to the speed from the ISP and the output performance of the devices they are connected to . They can't manufacture extra speed but unlike most extenders , the RE650 can make sure you get the whole output speed and not half of it .

Do you think the TP-LINK RE650 is good if I buy it for boosting my download speed only not instead as an extender. Or do you think I'll never by pass the speed that I have been allocated by my ISP
@TECHONABUDGET007
@TECHONABUDGET007 3 жыл бұрын
The device doesn't come with extra data speeds. Its just been designed such that things that would hinder efficiency i.e data transfer traffic and a host of other drawbacks of using an extender ,are taken care of so that you can enjoy the speeds you paid for. Ultimately, you can only get the speeds you are allocated for by your ISP.

Thanks. I appreciate the comment. However, the video was NOT a review about the product. It was a video giving suggestions on how to achieve a mesh setup without paying a lot for it. The product was just a prop. Seeing as you said its worthwhile for a mesh setup , then I'd say you got the message I was trying to convey. Thanks once again.

Hey bud will this link up to the actual Modem or just a router?? My modem is upstairs and I want to be able to plug in ethernet cable in basement. I have the Bell 2000 modem. Will this work?
@TECHONABUDGET007
@TECHONABUDGET007 2 жыл бұрын
The Bell 2000 modem is wireless, so in your situation , I think that you can connect the RE650 to the modem either way(wireless or wired). The issue is , The RE650 has only one Ethernet port . So In your situation , I'll say turn on your wireless feature in your bell 2000 modem, (hopefully your basement isn't so far away from the modem and the RE650 can pick up the WiFi signal from the bell 200), Connect the RE650 wirelessly to the bell 2000. That way you will have an open port on the RE650 to connect your wired device and if you have more than one device you want to connect with an Ethernet cable in the basement, then rather connect a switch to Ethernet port on the RE650 that's connected to your Bell2000 .

Will this work well with a TP Link Archer Ax6000 router which is WiFi 6. I’m on a 1gb plan and usually over WiFi average between 400-500 something up but mostly it’s around low 500 something and drops to 400 something. Will this keep it a 500 something or more without dropping. I’m only 30-40 feet away from the router. And in between is the kitchen where I was thinking about plugging this into the wall. Will it keep it from dropping? Thank U
@TECHONABUDGET007
@TECHONABUDGET007 3 жыл бұрын
A wifi 6 router will definitely support a wifi5 device . So yes it will work with the Archer AX6000 router but unfortunately the wifi5 device will only run at its rated 802.11ac speeds. That means that the performance of this device is capped at wifi5 speeds. A lot of reasons could be why your device isn't putting out the speed you want .Actual wireless data throughput, wireless coverage, will vary as a result of network conditions, client limitations, and environmental factors, including building materials, obstacles, volume and density of traffic, and client location etc. My opinion is try connecting the nodes with an ethernet cable rather than connecting them wirelessy. That should eliminate interferences between your main router and the nodes. If the nodes don't get a good connection, they will not perform at their best and that affects your throughput. If that doesn't solve the issue then I suggest speaking with your ISP . That's my opinion.

@@TECHONABUDGET007 Also I have spectrum internet, I guess which is cable. Do u think AT&T fiber 1gig will have better coverage. I heard it’s hard to link a router, as u can’t change the gateway or something like that. So can use your router on AT&T fiber or u have to use the gateway only box. Isn’t that like a modem and router in 1 or something? So I couldn’t use my own modem or router?
@TECHONABUDGET007
@TECHONABUDGET007 3 жыл бұрын
I'm sorry. I was reading your question again and I realised that I didn't quite answer your question . Apologies. If connecting the RE650 is what you're referring to when you asked about the throughput while connected to the Archer AX6000, then I'll say this . Don't put it in the kitchen or close to it . That may be the reason your throughput is compromised (that's if we are assuming everything is the way its supposed to be for optimum performance) . Kitchen appliances like microwave oven etc actually cause interference in your connectivity. I still think that connecting the device(I mean the RE650 or whatever extender or router you want) directly to your main router will up the performance of your device. If all fails , then contact your ISP.

The RE650 is quite a powerful range extender. yes, I think you can connect at that range but your signal will be weak(maybe 2 or 3 bars) if you connect the RE650 to your router wirelessly, but if you run a network cable from your router to the RE650 and set it up in access point mode , you will enjoy the performance the RE650 has to offer .

thanks brother for reply♥♥, Thanks from Qatar. and one more thinks i want to know that, can i connect double extender from one to another i mean, ( main router →extender →extender) like that?
@TECHONABUDGET007
@TECHONABUDGET007 2 жыл бұрын
Yes you can connect that way but you must give a different SSID name to the second extender or you might have a clash . Remember that connecting two extenders together (depending on the type of extender) will reduce your speed by half unless you are using an extender like the RE650 then you will get the full speed the RE650 offers because it uses a different antenna to connect to the host network unlike other extenders that uses the same antenna to broadcast and connect at the same time. That's why the speed gets compromised when you connect two extenders , so be mindful of the type of extender you use . Just my opinion.

I just installed Fiber-Optics unlimited internet in my small apartment. It is in a closet in a similar thing like where you have all your fuses, but for other uses like my wifi. I live in an apartment building on the second floor. But where I most often go on my smartphone Android to watch films on KZfaq is downstairs the floor right under mine at the salon (common room). But my apartment is at one end and the common room is at the other end and there are some very heavy steal doors and walls in between. It's not a very big apartment building. I estimate just by guessing that the distance would be about 100 feet? Will this wifi extender be right for me? Will it work? My wifi is simply connected to my phone not a computer or anything else. It is also a new apartment building just finished being built 2 years ago ( regarding the new technology ) Also when I go to the common room I can't use wires or complicated connections, I would just have to plug it in! What do you think? What do you recommend? Please explain in the simplest terms possible - it also might help others! Thank you!
@TECHONABUDGET007

If I'm not mistaken , your question is if the RE650 is strong enough to pick up your internet signal from your apartment on the second floor to the salon on the ground floor on the other side of the building ? or is it the common room ? Please clarify before I can give my opinion
@chrystalsnow145
@chrystalsnow145 2 жыл бұрын
@@TECHONABUDGET007 Yes that is correct- the salon is the common room just 2 different names. Yes my apartment is on the second floor and the common room is on the main floor the floor under me. And my apartment is at one end and the common room is at the opposite end. There are thick walls and steal doors inbetween. I won't be able to have a complicated system with wires as if they are in the hallways other tenants will probably steal them. So I was hoping I could just plug it in downstairs in the common room?! I was hoping the RE650 AC2600 TP Link would be right for me. I do not know much about technology, please explain as simply as possible. I also have a budget and can't afford more than $100-$200 approximately! Thank you for answering right away! 🙂
@TECHONABUDGET007
@TECHONABUDGET007 2 жыл бұрын
Ok. This is my opinion. Just by your explanation , I would say that the RE650 won't do considering the distance from your apartment and the thick walls . if you were directly above the common room on different floors , then yes it would work. But let's try a lil exercise. From the ground floor (same floor as the common room), find out how far you have to go from your primary WiFi router in your apartment before you loose its signal( walk like you are heading towards the common room). Mark the spot just before you loose the signal from your primary router in your apartment . If It's half way or a lil over half way mark to the common room , then the RE650 might just work fine . . All the RE650 needs is a slightly decent 2.4Ghz signal and you can get a very good 2.4 and 5 ghz signal from it.. Let me know the result of that exercise

@@TECHONABUDGET007 Thank you so much 🙂 So far what I did was walk down my hall to the elevator. When I reached the elevator my signal stopped. I measured the distance and my wifi worked for 72 feet before it cut, and that was at the elevator. So that is good I was able to go down the complete hall which would bring me to the elevator which is not too far from the common room, which was at the opposite end. Now I will measure the best I can the distance from the elevator to the common room. Be right back!
@chrystalsnow145
@chrystalsnow145 2 жыл бұрын
So I measured from the elevator to the common room where I would sit on the sofas. That was 51 feet. I measured inside the elevator also imagining the distance from my floor to the basement. I believe I measured well. Let us add 15 feet more to be safe so approxately 65 feet of length with no wifi! Doesn't this one go up to 14000 feet? Also taking into consideration the steel elevator and concrete walls. Does the RE650 - AC2600 also take in consideration the walls? Thank you so much!
