Honestly eisner cutting the walking on water scene is one of the few good choices we got from him. It makes sense for Moana but would have been weird with mickey and i can't imagine the costume is waterproof so imagine how heavy

Mickey wasn’t just going to walk on the water. He was going to stand on top of a huge column of water, which would have concealed a platform and mechanism that would have lifted him up. But the “column of water” effect didn’t work in 1998, and so it was cut from the show.

Me, my 2 brothers, my parents, my sister, her husband, my nephew, my niece, and my aunt went to Walt Disney World for spring break. We stayed at the Fort Wilderness campground, we went to every park there, and we had a blast. My sister, her husband, my niece, my nephew, and my aunt left a week early, and I wish they didn’t. It felt lonely without them, but I wish we could go back, all of us. Watching your videos reminds me of the time we had.

One of my favorite other little secrets in the Magic Kingdom is that you can still hear The Best Time Of Your Life in Tomorrowland as part of the ambient music track. It's an instrumental version, played on a synth to match the theme of the land. I always have to stop and listen to it when I catch it playing, haha.

I have a friend who works on tech in Disney, making the shows work and stuff like that. Me and my family visited Hollywood Studios, where she is currently working, and she got us VIP seats for Fantasmic. Apparently, the entire show she was super stressed because she wanted everything to be perfect for our first watch of the new show. Everything worked out, but I'm telling this story because everyone should know that the Imagineers work very hard to make sure everything is perfect so you all can have a good experience. Everyone, please give a round of applause to the hardworking Disney cast members! Also, the dragon from Fantasmic often just doesn't come out, and it's a last second thing that no one knows in advance, so they have to quickly change it to plan b (Maleficent comes back up). Please, appreciate the efforts.

My favorite Disney secret is on a certain bridge at Epcot that makes the Morocco Pavilion line up with the Tower of Terror to make it look apart of the structure

I was honestly surprised to see a new WDW secrets video…thinking what else could possibly be said?? I should’ve known better 😂 I audibly gasped at the bit about the windows in the Seas! I also didn’t realize the fish are another Pepper’s Ghost, I thought they were just projections. Amazing job as always!

I know something that may or may not be a secret at this point. There used to be a special section at the General Motors pavilion in Epcot back before it became Test Track where only GM employees and their families could go. You could grab some refreshments and look down at park goers while relaxing for a little break. When you were ready you could then get straight on the ride instead of waiting in line. Apparently they still do something similar if not the same for Test Track, but I've never been since our family got in through my father's connections and can't verify this 100%.

I knew that there was an underground tunnel in magic kingdom, my dad works for RCFD (Reedy Creek Fire Department) and he usually tells me that the characters wave Hi at him whenever they’re preparing for a show. And there’s even a subway down there. (The restaurant, not an actual subway FYI)

When Mission to Mars was a thing, the Cast Members "talked" to Mr. Johnson. There was a standard script that we were supposed to follow and he'd say "why, thank you," after we introduced him. Sometimes we'd go off script and say something like "Mr. Johnson, you fly is open" and of course, he'd still reply, "why, thank you." LOL

I love these. I always thought that “Tom Morrow” was just a play on words. I probably saw the animatronic since I visited MK in 1973. I definitely remember the “now is the best time” line from the Carousel of Progress. I had ridden it many times by 1994.

Yess! The people mover is one of my favorites! And I never knew Magic Kingdom was built on the technical second floor. I worry about Florida being flooded over due to climate change. 😢 It makes me sad for the Disney World parks. But hopefully most of Magic Kingdom will be in the clear 🤞

The flooding would only affect the coastal areas, which is some distance from WDW, which is over 100 feet above sea level. Of coarse, over geologic time the whole content can flood, just leaving the mountainous areas exposed. The great plains, which covers many states, Is an example of this (the area was a shallow sea). No need to get sad. except for coastal cities around the nation and other nations.

The walk around Brer Animal characters from Song of the South are retired from the American Disney Theme Parks for good, because the film was so controversial at that time since 1946.

One Peoplemover tribute I haven't seen anyone talk about is when ORAC-5 says "if you have one eye, or nine..." as we go over the Monsters Inc show! Obviously, the one eye is in reference to Mr. Wazowski, but I have to think that the "nine" is a reference to Nine-Eye from the Timekeeper, ESPECIALLY since the Laugh Floor is where the Timekeeper used to be housed!

There's another nod to a defunct ride in the line containing "If You Have Wings..." "Please do not Take Flight..." Take Flgiht was the name given to Delta Dreamflight after Delta Airlines dropped their sponsorship

I went an asked my grandpa about the fantasmic water stage because he has been working at Disneyland Since 1975 and he said some of the people who wore and performed as Mickey in that scene complained about getting the suit wet and the shoes weren’t very covered so they had to dry and clean it every show. I don’t know how true it is but that’s my disnerd grandpa lol

2:40 I also really wish they kept the tanks clean. They’re so dirty now and most of the fish are gone. It’s just sad that the big blue world is shown to be dirty.

They play Now Is the Time in the Disneyland Tomorrowland audio loop ;) Also, Tom Morrow was the animatronic host of our (DL's) Innoventions! He looked way different though, he didn't have a skin and looked like a robot.

The ‘Now is the time song’ lives on in the background music for Tomorrowland also. The same chord progression and series of notes are still used today.
