One of my all time favourite secrets about haunted mansion is that if the wait time for the standby says ‘13 minutes long’ that means that there is no wait at all.

Shadowcat107 Disneyworlds was copied to Japan, HK has Mystic Manor which is a neat updated with new story elements, Paris has Phantom Manor with a more haunting story added. All very amazing in their own way. Disneyland’s is always a first and the original, and one of Walt’s final projects before his passing in 66’.

I have The Haunted Mansion Imagineering a Disney Classic by Jason Surrell and my favorite part is on page 18 when they are talking about the effects. The Imagineers pranked the personnel workers with the effects and were told to clean up their own room from then on. Love it.

You forgot one! If you didn’t know when Haunted Mansion (and tower of terror) say it’s a 13 minute wait time is actually means there isn’t a wait time! Because these are both spooky rides and the number 13 is unlucky, Disney put that there instead of a zero for those rides. And you can tell because the wait times for all the rides at Disney are by 5’s.

I remember seeing that one tombstone blink and look around on my first time in the queue once and I said to my older brother, “OMG LOOK THE FACE BLINKED!!” I was so young so he didn’t believe me and thought it was because I was scared of going on the ride :,(

I still think the raven host would’ve been cool. Because we focus mostly on his voice, having him hidden in plain sight would’ve been a fun way to give him a body that you wouldn’t think twice about until after the ride, then it’ll be a fun thing to look for next time you go!

ok story time from me The first time I rode this ride I was like 7 or something and I HATED the stretching room part, I was so scared of it after that part my parents had to take the emergency exit out so I could stop screaming and crying my head off. The second real time I rode it it broke down in that ballroom scene . I forget how old I was when this happened, I think I was like 9 maybe 8 , I had just gotten into Tim Burton movies and stuff and I LOVED the Haunted Mansion that time, and to this day its my favorite ride at Disney world.

when I went to Disney world with my mom and younger brother in 4the grade, we were pulled out of the haunted Manssion line by a staff member and I was terrified but me and my younger brother actually got to be part of the staff for like 10 minutes!!!!! it was amazing!!!! I did get to go on the ride ... don't worry

I'm from England and visited the Magic Kingdom 3 times in my childhood in the 80s. The ghosts in the ballroom blew me away. I was like, wow, Americans can make holographic ghosts!! Fast forward to the internet age, I found out it was 'just' a pepper's ghost illusion. Talk about bursting my bubble! I totally thought they were holographic projections, dammit.

I already knew about how the raven was going to have dialogue and be the narrator. On a special audio book on CD featuring 2 teenagers being given a "tour of the home" the Raven appears and shrieks some words to the kids. According to the Ghost Host in this story. "The restless Spirit of an old nag has taken possession of that poor Raven's mortal being" the Raven itself would say things like how the swaying corpse in the stretching gallery "choose the coward's way out" or that the kids shouldn't disturb the coffin in the conservatory. Near the end, the Raven appears one last time "Beware my friends they may try to follow you home" this final line references the Hitchhiking Ghosts at the end in the final ride

I loved The Haunted Mansion Ride and went on it in winters of 1985 and 1986 ! Dad took me and Mom back in the mid 80s ! Loved the hallways the best and would love to walk down the hallways knock on the doors hug a few ghosts !

I am so so excited to share that I am going to be working for Disney starting in Feburary!!! I will be working the attractions at the park and even though I do not have a set position yet, I will try and see if I can get on the Haunted Mansion!! It's one of my favorite rides, and I have started watching your videos over and over again to keep them in mind when I start work. I can't wait to just wander around whenever I can to spot all these hidden details, not just on this ride but throughout Disney. Your videos are getting me even more pumped to start working there!!
