They were not legally! You may have missed it when the woman openly admitted in front of the judge that she lied and told the coroner that they were married but they were not. Those words came out of her mouth. As a former hospital administrator, myself, of many years that also tells me she lied to the hospital staff and told them that she was wife. If they had no just cause to believe her. If they had no just cause to believe her, then they would not have been alerted to make her prove that she was his wife. That is their responsibility if it was ever brought to their attention because the hospital could be sued. Just an fyi respectfully.

He is emotional about it because its how he feels so he thinks it must be right. I on the other hand put myself in other peoples shoes TO much and i constantly do research/learn/look at the facts about a situation and consistently change my mind on different issues depending on what the facts I have looked into has shown me. Funny ash story. My son and I took a portion of Dad's ashes to Parris Island. My son's best friend was graduating so we thought what a great opportunity, because my father was a Marine. Come to find out you cannot spread ashes there without permission. I talked to a few people and we got approved. According to their rules a soldier has to be present. So there we are, we go to spread and out of nowhere a wind comes through and covered my son and the soldier in his ashes. At first I was in shock, then started laughing, my son started laughing, and then bless his heart the soldier started laughing. I will always believe my dad did that on purpose and was laughing in heaven!

Well, let me start by saying this; the reason they probably got married and were only married so shortly was to prevent the mother from having POA if the man didn't have an advanced directive. I have one due to many medical issues and surgeries I've had. I'm 32. Guess who I don't want anywhere near me? My mother. My entire family knows this, but she would do her damndest to take advantage of the situation to negate my wishes just so she could be the center of attention somehow and play doctor. I know an overbearing mother when I see one. This one is certainly that. I can only imagine the drama. I'm so glad my MIL is so wonderful. It's one thing to disown your own blood. It's another matter entirely to fight off someone who isn't. I feel for the widow. I really do. Just because you gave birth doesn't mean that you're a mother. I don't believe the mother for a minute.

I'm a black woman. I only say this as a qualifier so I'm not called racist, even though I might be called that anyway. There is no earthly reason mom in law can't fix her hair or put a wig on for court. For black people who protest this. I've never seen an African person in court with wrap on. Besides that is not a wrap, that is sleeping bonnet. A sleep bonnet is not African garb or tradition. White women wore bonnets to sleep in certain times. If you are not African you can't even argue that you are wearing traditional garb. I as a black person am as far from Africa as a white person is from being a viking. To that point a white person would have as much right to wear a traditional viking outfit or gladiator outfit as silly black women wearing a bonnet. Nobody else is doing this. It's just laziness. Right? I'm quite surprised that some commenters are taking Ms Turner's side and saying that Mrs Starks needs to be nice to her simply because that's his mom. There are, however, unfortunately lots of parents that don't deserve their children and who are so toxic that they have to eventually be cut off for their children's own wellbeing. This is clearly one of those cases and there must be some wild history here, especially considering that the dad isnt even willing to give Mrs Turner some of their sons ashes. Although there is likely lots of bitterness and resentment at play here, it at least appears that Mrs Stark was simply supporting her husbands wishes and is now looking out for her own child's best interest

So she was married to him according to MS. Turner. Also, if anyone goes to inquire about someone in the hospital and I don't care who you are, if they have a spouse, the spouse is the only one who can receive information about the patient. Sounds like to me not too many people got along with MS. Turner. She seems like a very hateful person. I can see why MS Starks wouldn't let MS Turner see her grandson. I wouldn't either seeing how hateful of a person she is and that's just from watching this video. I can imagine what she is like on the outside. Did anyone hear when MS. Correct! A funeral home will let people buy small urns or jewelry! Typically it’s arranged through the funeral home and paid for individually. The remainder of the ashes are typically given to the next of kin or if something is in arranged in advance might be given to another family member.

I dont care if you hate your mother-in-law. If your husband dies and his mother is still alive, you should always include her in the funeral of her son.

NO, you shouldn't if the MIL is an AZZ and her child wanted nothing to do with her.🤨

I think they said she was sent an invitation but didn't come. But it also depends on the situation. In this case it sounded like the son wanted nothing to do with his mom. And if the relationship is sooooo toxic that having her there would make every si gle person uncomfortable and prevent all other family members from being able to grieve in peace and safety then there are times people - even the mom - shouldn't be invited. Nonetheless, I think I remember hearing she was invited but chose not to come, and subsequently acting like a victim
