+Brian Z we dont know why they pick on you unless they know you, my guess its cost increased, have friend call them and price it out once then see if they price the same piece if the costs is the same, maybe they are charging more these days then 2 yrs ago=(

Brian, I work for ABI in the sales department. You may have been quoted the TR3 Command Series or possibly had been quoted a much larger model. It sounds like ReefDVMs has a 5.5' TR3 or possibly 6.5' with the price he listed. Cost has not gone up in past 8 months. Call me if you're still interested in pricing. Land plane's are great for the work they're designed for. But a land plane has its limitations. You can't effectively use a land plane in reverse. When you need to do back filling and level on the same job, I'd much prefer a TR3 Rake for that work. Calling it foolish to spend more on a piece of equipment that's clearly effective and versatile is a stretch. Perhaps your land plane is your preference and for a flat driveway, it's not a bad option at all.... If you have a hilly driveway the land plane isn't quite as useful and a TR3 would work better. It's all perspective, my friend.

You've obviously never used a TR3. I don't know anyone who has that doesn't love it.
