Happy Valentine's Day! Gaumont was founded on 23rd June 1895 by Leon Gaumont in France; this makes Gaumont one of the oldest continuously operating film studios in the world. It is also the first and oldest film company in the world, and their headquarters are based in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France.
