Y’all are so sweet together! I would say don’t stress so much about the registry. Pick things that you love and classic pieces. I have been married for almost 18 years and still have my white every day dishes. Also incorporate, if you can, family pieces. I love having my late grandmother’s blue glasses and my late mama’s cooking pieces. ❤️

My mom always had Cutco knives when I was growing up. She still has them. I asked her for a set for my wedding, and 14 years later, they are still in brand new shape. I use them all the time. They are expensive, but the quality is amazing, and they have a lifetime guarantee.

When I registered I was into blue and yellow-SO regret! Stick with neutral colors that will last a lifetime as your favorite color tastes and styles change! I save my color changes for pillows, flowers, and paint! 😂 I’ve been married 20 years and I have 3 wedding gifts remaining- a big etched glass flower fruit bowl 💕, a combination glass punch bowl/cake stand ❤️, and a blue and white utensil holder that I keep hidden behind the crock pot 😏! So my friendly advice would be to choose whites, greys, tan, cream, black, glass, etc. that will go with your future flow and maybe one or two items that will last for years that is “in” right now and that you just LOVE! It gives the teenagers and grandkids something to laugh at later but will always bring you happy memories! ❤️ 😂

Have a rustic fall wedding…. Straw, pumpkins, jeans. Trace is so down to earth… that would be great!

Registry advice… register for things that you will use and have for a long time. Caphalon pots and pans, a special Christmas dish pattern, silverware and any other items to stock your kitchen. A Cuisinart stand mixer and vitamix blender will last forever. Also, register for at least 2 crockpots, trust me, they will get used the very first time you host a party. Textiles are nice but wear out over time and styles and tastes change. I still use items we registered for 25 years ago and I remember who gave each item to us! Lastly, use gift cards that you receive to buy the rest of the items on your registry and any linens that you need. Congratulations to you both!🙏

If it was me planning a wedding I would try to set the date first and then start on a budget and from there decide which items you want to "splurge" on, like maybe photographer/videographer and food/cake are where you want to splurge. Then you can start with getting big things booked/planned/done maybe even diy some decorations or borrow from some of the decorations from siblings. For your registry pick out things you love and will use but also put the good quality items you want on the list because things like dishes and cookware you want to last and people can always gift money/giftcards towards those items if they want and once you have a house the decor items you want may be easier to pick out too. I think fall is great for an outdoor wedding but check that the venue you book has an inside option as well, in case of rain. I have heard that rain on your wedding day is good luck. And hopefully if you face rain on your wedding day it will be nice weather in plenty of time for the ceremony.

So absolutely true, Trace! When you know, you know! I met my husband on 12/11/83, I was 18 and he was 22. We met in church and knew God brought us together. We were married on 7/2/84 so we will be celebrating 38 years soon. We have 3 grown kids and have been through many trials, but God grace has sustained us and we are more in love than ever. I had a hard time with my registry when I got married as well, even though it was 23 yrs ago. I had my mom help me with most of it since I really didn’t know what to put on it. I started with thinking of what my future kitchen theme would be then went from there with dish towels, pot holders, salt and pepper shakers and things like that. Have fun with it! Congratulations! My advice for your registry is to register for good quality items as was previously mentioned. Also, if you register for white dishes, any food looks great on them, they do not fade, you can dress up or down with your table accessories and they will always match your decor, even if you change your decor.

Before moving from home, I started to buy 1 item a month for my house so by the time I got married I already had the basics sorted so we put on the registry items that we could bond over in using. A bread Maker, Pressure cooker, slow cooker (okay these are the names we call them in South Africa not sure what they are called in USA), good Coffee machine (for my husband as I am allergic). Good set of cooking utensils (knives, whisks, ladles etc ones that can withstand the dish washer). Waffle maker is a good one to have and make the batter and waffles with your significant other For my wedding I did not want to do the traditional throwing of the bouquet as most of our guests were partnered with serious relationships so I decided to put a gift together (a cage with a bouquet - made from artificial flowers in and some creams, bath salts, chocolates) and put a combination lock on and around each females glass was a combination code, Each table had chances to come up and put their code in and try to win the hole cage and contents. the fun "competition" between everyone was so much fun to see

When it comes to the registry get two sets of sheets so you don’t have to wash and get them back on the bed the same day. I used to sell China so here are my tips. I’d usually suggest get as many dinner plates as you have members of your family, but with how large the abates family is that’s not doable. Think into your future and how many kids you’d like. For example if you plan on 4 kids I’d get placesetting of 12. A placeseting is a dinner plate, salad/dessert plate or bowl (get both) and a tea cup or mug. Remember your going to break pieces so it’s best to have more. Then think about how you eat a holiday dinner. You need a meat platter at least one, how many vegetables ( my family does potatoes and two more veggies), plus casserole 8x13 dishes for side dishes but different set for baking. Also if you eat gravy get a gravy boat and label. Buy at least silverware for 12 and a serving set. If your coffee or tea drinkers you might want a sugar bowl. You’ll need a canister set for flour, sugar, etc. These you’ll need to think do I want pretty ones so they are on my counter or plain to put in the cupboard. Mixing bowl set, measuring cups and spoons, whisk. I love my counter Kitchen Aid mixer because I love making cookies and banana bread. Just makes baking easier. I’ve had mine for 20 years and it’s still in great condition. Kitchen towels too. Bath towels get at least two sets but with Trace in construction probably more.

The fall is a beautiful time of the year.My daughter and son in law were married in November and it was gorgeous. The maple trees were a beautiful red orange, they were married in the chapel at the state botanical garden in Athens, Georgia, and the lower floor was where we had the reception. They had a large patio that with the doors open really increased the space. We had a large tent for the patio and it joined to the building. I would recommend that you have the wedding inside because of the unpredictable temperatures I expect you will have more guest than we had so you will need to probably need to have it in a church that will hold the number of people you expect. It is going to be so much fun to plan your wedding I’m sure your mom’s will be a great help. May God bless you as you plan your wedding and as you go through life.

Ive seen pictures of outdoor fall weddings and they were so gorgeous so my vote is outdoor.

I think a fall wedding is really cool with a mix of inside and outside. I personally want to do mine in an open barn. That way I can do some things outside and some things inside. The option is open for either.

Top registry items definitely your favorite bowls and plates. My husband and I picked out fiesta ware and got all different colors so we can mix and match when we’re serving meals. It definitely touched on our personalities to do that. We got a lot of entertaining kitchen pieces because we love that. And then got a couple appliances we love using for convenience: instant pot, air fryer, and food processor (with different cutting blades for making quick grated veggies or making potato chips!!). You make food three times a day so pick out some good stuff that works for you!!!! Congratulations on your engagement!!!!💗🙏🏻

I would do outdoor but make sure there's a building on the premises so that it can be moved indoors last minute if the weather doesn't cooperate. That's what they did for my cousin's wedding. They had everything set up outdoors and then moved everything inside because it started raining before the wedding started.

People are incredibly generous with weddings and babies. Don’t be afraid to put nicer items on your registry. The one item on my registry we put for fun we didn’t think we’d get we got 5 of them. 😂 I’m as frugal as they come but also want quality. Put things you would have a hard time purchasing for yourself but know you would use (I.e a kitchenaid mixer).
