This video was super helpful!! I'm just getting into the inkspace but i also found out that while doing this....when you go to fill in the same color of different spaces if you hold down the shift key as click each spot with the paint can it automatically makes it one path so you dont have to keep moving your outline or clicking on each one to make them a path.

That was probably the best step by step video for this program, i mean, legit.

You could also use the "dropper" sampler from your object (image prior to tracing) image to make, colors an exact match. I'm always good with fewer decisions that don't truly matter in the end - like you said, the paper you choose makes the difference.

One thing to note about the paint bucket is that it behaves a little differently depending on zoom. The further out you're zoomed, the less accurately it'll fill in a space, which can be countered a little with the "grow/shrink by" value. Just something to keep in mind. I should probably use the paint bucket like this more often, as color is an aspect that's inconvenienced me for a while.

Thank you for the tutorial! I do have a question though...the black background...what would happen if you simply left it as an outline instead of filling it in? I ask because if I can leave it as is, and not have to change it, then it would be one less step to remember and seems simpler. If I was to do all of this EXCEPT the last step of filling in the black background, would it still export as a black later just as an outline? I hope you respond! Thank you!
