Just another update on the track build. Lots of red clips and how I use laminate flooring underlay for sound reduction.

Hi 🤗Yes the scenery is slowly beginning. Ile be keeping it simple on this track. But I'm hoping it will complement to style of the circuit. Appreciate you watching and commenting 👍...Harry

Nice one, Harry, another excellent idea for underlay. If I hadn’t already had the gym mats I would have used exactly that. You could also double and triple layer it for extra absorption, depending on your needs. I just wanted to be heard over the noise of the cars, really. Oh, and absorb those epic subwoofer vibrations from below the table 😂🏁

Your build is on a whole different level Shane 🤗I wouldn't expect any less than gym mats 😁 but yes the cheap stuff is grand and like you say it can be double up for extra insulation ,appreciate you watching and commenting mate 🙂👍

WOW that's so much better with the thin foam pad!! You cant tell but on our track table I covered it with vinyl that has a fuzzy backing and that really deadens the sound also. Man Those clips are killer much harder to put on than how the politrack clips go on I feel your pain!

Yes the Policar system is certainly different Steve . I'm not familiar with Policar track but I have to say once the clips are in the carrera stays together great 🤗 the foam did the trick for me . Good idea on the fuzzy vinyl Steve ,yours is certainly quite too 👍

Morning Harry, it's amazing how noisy the track is, I never realised, but what a difference that underlay makes, and as you say it's as chip as chips, now, based on me being clumsy I thought theres no way that track would turn in one, but you did it , tracks looking good, .......... Colin 😊

Ohh Colin you wouldn't believe how clumsy I am ...always dropping things 🫢😂 I'm happy with my cheap solution to the noise ..I think this week I might finally get 4 people racing together 😁

Good tip with the paper foam. I Have rolls of that stuff that we throw out at work. Ill be saving that now. Thanks for the info and update. 🎉 How tall is your table again?

Hey Joe ...Happy to share mate 👍 ile measure it today and put it here in a reply ...its quite high because I can't bend with my back .I'm guessing about 39" but ile be sure later when I measure 🤗
