Hurricane Lee was a very powerful and intense category 5 hurricane, Lee was the first category 5 hurricane of the 2023 Atlantic Hurricane Season and the first since Hurricane Ian and the first operationally since Hurricane Iota. The third major hurricane of the season, Lee brought tropical storm impacts to Bermuda before making landfall as an extratropical cyclone on Nova Scotia in Atlantic Canada, also bringing impacts to the New England Coastline, Lee caused widespread minimal damage as it swept through New England and Atlantic Canada. As of the uploading it is unknown but probably unlikely for Hurricane Lee to be retired due to its low death toll at 3 and low damage caused at $50 Million US Dollars, this would make Lee one of the few category 5 hurricanes in the Atlantic to not be retired from the revolving naming list, specifically this list 3 which is also known for not retiring Category 5 Hurricane Emily in 2005 despite causing damage across a multitude of countries.
