This is the first update on the tracker boat rebuild, the hull is pretty good but the floatation and transom were completely ruined, stay tuned and ring that bell there's tons of videos coming of this build. should be a awesome boat when finished

I rebuilt the same boat 2 years ago and it had the same problems also the transom was like corn flakes had to replace it too. I got a finished video of it. And I still have it it’s a great little fishing boat.

It’s unreal how bad that treated factory transom is. I can’t wait to have this one finished. Just done the leak test on the rivets. I got 5 to replace then it’s on to the, put it together stage. Thanks for watching

Thanks for the next step...been following this series. When you removed all the old water soaked foam. What cleaned that back to all most factory look? Chemical like Alumibright or just pressure washed or....?

I used purple power. I soaked it real good. Let it set for about 30 minutes. I’d go by and must it with the hose just to keep it from drying. Then I used a pressure washer to remove it and the left over foam chunks.

Will you try to get most of the old stuff off or just glue over it?

Will remove. I’m not putting any carpet back. At least that’s the plan.

How much of the old carpet glue do you get off the aluminum?

I haven’t tried much. I sanded a little spot. It seemed to be dried out and sanded pretty easy

@@bowl830 yes, I've got a. 1988 tracker tournament V17 and the side console windshield is gone

@@nickmayberry4209 gotcha. I’ve bent that plastic before. But you can order a console windshield on the net. It’s not factory but pretty close. It’s cheaper than you can buy the plastic most times. I’m building a complete walk through windshield for mine. I think! 😂
