Frenchman Adrien Fourmaux was in line to add his name to a spectacular list of British Rally champions at Trackrod Rally Yorkshire, round six of the season.
The M-Sport factory ace and co-driver Alexandre Coria were in a battle with nearest championship rival Garry Pearson as the season headed back onto gravel, but the WRC2 contenders were unstoppable in the Yorkshire forests and for the first time in it's history, the BRC crown would head to France.
