The SRAD was the first real super bike the the ZX7R was a unchanged 527lb tank that done well in superbike till the SRAD hit the track and the ZX7R was pretty much the same up till 2003 when they stoped production we still had 2 on the sales floor in 2012 I have owned and raced many of Big greens bikes but my hart will always bleed blue the GSXR done well for me 11 years in the Super sport Series and still love to do track days on my 2003 GSXR 1000 to show the kids that everyone don't need ride bye wire to go fast keep up the great videos and have fun.

I owned & raced both of these bikes. The ZX in race trim saved about 50lbs. The stock exhaust and headlight assembly alone was the bulk of the weight savings. My bikes made 115 bhp (ZX) & 125 bhp (GSXR). When I switched from the Kaw to the Suz I dropped a full second a lap with much less effort almost instantly. My ZX7R was fitted with a D&D show & go full exhaust system and was the nastiest & meanest sounding on the track..... Too bad sound didn't help the lap times.....

Little tip, if there are two of you filling up at a petrol garage have one sit on the bike and sit the bike straight so you can brim it to the top without the fuel leaning to one side of the tank, you get much more fuel in the tank that way. I always put mine on centerstand when filling up but appreciate you don't have that luxury like many others.

I had a SRAD 600 when they first came out in 1997. Great bike in it's day and the under seat storage was amazing.

Watching the SRAD lose it's oil really hit me in the feels. After crashing my bike last year I partially rebuilt it and filled it with oil, it instantly just started leaking out. Turns out that there was a small crack at the back of the block...

Good work fellas, I know that "old bike" feeling, took my gsx1100 special around Aragon 2 years ago, had more fun on that than anything modern, not the fastest thing out there but much more involving, tries to kill me every time I'm on it, what's not to like. Keep it up.
