Thank you so much for doing this video. I am getting ready to buy my first tractor, a compact 35hp, and this really helped me to prioritize what implements to include in my initial purchase. Most helpful video I have found thus far for helping me at this stage of the game. The additional footage of use for all of these items was a big bonus, especially the box grater.....both for gravel and food plot work. Thanks again!

I am going to have to do without a grapple this year too Phil. We have to drill a new well and that is going to hurt. Our well s 816 ft. deep. Last year we replaced the pump which was at 550 ft. When they went to put the pump back down, it hit something at 450 ft., and wouldn't go any further. 1st estimate came in at $36,000 just to drill the well. Moving the pump and hooking everything up is above and beyond that. Full watch and a thumbs up Phil. God Bless. See you for the next one.

Wow hate to hear about your bad luck! Just curious what elevation are you at, or what region are you located? I'm in north Fl/ south GA, and I've had a well at 23' and mine now which I thought was deep is at 150' because I'm on top of a hill. For us "deep wells" or artesian free flowing wells are usually in the 300'-500' range!

For me, the grapple is #1! The absolute KING! I have forks and I just never use them, but I don't have palletized materials or bulk materials to move at all. The pallets pretty much are my least used implement. I mostly use them for moving deer stands in the woods in the summer and fall. I find the grapple can do everything the forks can, and so much more. My #2 would be the box blade, #3, bush hog! Those are my 3 biggest money makers, I do this for a living and they are my most used attachments. The bucket goes hand in hand with the box blade, but I find my most comments set ups are bucket/box blade and grapple/ bush hog. I don't have a tiller, but I do have disks, and they get used in the hunt clubs also, but rarely for anything else. I wish I had a tiller, that's definitely next on the list!

I bought the same model in 2018 and acquired the same implements along with a manure spreader. I’ve since purchased a LandPride Rotary Cutter. And this year (2023) I have added a grapple and a LaneShark! Nothing more fun, relaxing and rewarding than managing your own land. Thanks for sharing. Love your videos! 😊 I keep my L3301 and implements inside my polebarn. The best innovation I discovered are pallets with heavy duty wheels attached to set my implements on. And I can switch out implements without any problems.

We are about a week out from ordering our first tractor, and we've been researching this for a year now. When it comes to tractor and implement selection, prioritizing what your using these items for, what jobs you need to do, it's gonna vary from person to person. We are also near Nashville and we'll be purchasing a 25hp that has a loader as standard equipment. Then a flail mower, stump bucket, a box plane, and pallet forks...in that order. That should keep us busy for a minute. Thanks for this video!

My line up: B2601 w/3rd function. Quick attach front/rear. Front end loader, bucket. grapple, 4' bush hog, box blade, root rake. I did about 3-4 months research prior to purchase viewing channels such as yours for reference to figure what implements would suit my needs. The grapple is an incredible tool, you'll love it when you get one.

I own a Kubota BX2670. Purchased it with front end loader with bucket, 60 inch belly mower, grapple with third function valve. I would strongly suggest anyone with a Kubota tractor, buying a third-party aftermarket grapple as opposed to land pride, i.e., Kabota grapple; paid far too much for it, and have seen many aftermarket grapples to do much more for less.

I have a grapple that bolts onto the bucket, it's made by ATI corporation I believe. Can put it in and off in about 20mins by myself with a wrench and a 2x4 , plenty rugged and opens and closes like a regular grapple has the hydraulic piston on it and it's quite cheaper then buying a separate grapple don't know if you've ever seen one but worth looking into it. For me I only use the grapple 2-3 times a year so takes up less space and was less expensive and it's plenty strong.

On your snow removal I think if you try your box blade with your bucket you will be much more efficient and fast. Simply tilt your box blade back a bit so as not to dig. Then set your 3pt dept stop to about 1" then just drive forward with you bucket a few inches high and box blade down and you will get a clean path. As you need you will also be able to reverse with the box blade down and push your snow berms back as winter progresses.

Brandon, stay away from a post hole auger. The rear 3pt, has no down pressure so it only works by gravity. If you have any hard pan it does nothing but spin.. I ended up getting rid of mine because it was worthless. I get better results using a harbor freight handheld auger. I think it’s called the predator and it works way better than my big tractor post hole auger ever did.

I guess it depends on what you need to get done. I think growing hay you need bigger stuff. That's my goal anyways and a bale spear would be better than a lot those

I have a tiller and will be looking for a box blade soon. I also plan on offering my services for a little extra money. What is a reasonable price to charge? Thanks, and great video!
@PetersonFarmsofNashvillePFON

Thanks for watching and sharing! I love both my Tiller and Box blade My tiller works well in getting Garden Jobs but the Box blade more than doubles your opportunities to get Jobs like drive ways Yard grading and seeding Along with breaking up those tough hard plots using the box cutters so the tiller can do it’s job Price wise it all depends on time and going rate You have to feel the local market out but here some advice from expiernce If Jobs are close enough to drive tractor then I can reduce price by almost 50% If I have to trailer equipment then I charge a hour to load and unload plus travel time Don’t cut yourself short there because it’s a lot of work and fuel ain’t cheap anymore But usually I go and check new jobs out and quote a price after I see what it is Trailer $100.00 Hourly $ 75-100 depending if it’s a existing or new ground for a garden Make sure your insurance covers you and your Tractor off property Hope that helps Sounds like maybe another video opportunity 😁 Good luck and Tractor On !

So I don't know if you using your carry all the way it was designed I always thought you build a box round it for moving tools and wood and what not. But maybe I'm wrong

The thing with front loader grabbers is they add weight to your bucket, reducing the amount you can carry..

I’m learning tractors and just got a 2013 L4600. I’m looking at implements this week and thinking about pallet forks for the loader and the 3 point hitch. Also, a flail mower with diamond knives. A rear blade and grapple would also be awesome!! I understand that the tractors can lift more on the 3 point hitch than the front loader. I am curious about that! Oh and I already have a loader and bucket. Thanks for the video!!

Whats a grabble
@PetersonFarmsofNashvillePFON
@PetersonFarmsofNashvillePFON 2 жыл бұрын
Grapple A tool attached to your front loader in lieu of a bucket which has a clamshell like motion that is best suited for grabbing a pile of brush or logs with your front loader on the tractor Requires a 3rd function or diverter valve in order to operate it from your loader stick. Thanks for watching Phil PFON

Land pride qh15 is not the greatest. Stopped using mine, unlike the John Deere quick attach you need to purchase special sleeves to adapt it to your implements. Sleeves are not common and almost impossible to find. Watch my neighbour with his John Deere quick attach, way better system. In retrospect I think I would still go with my kubota but get all John Deere implements.

You can get sleeves at TSC. Not sure where you live but easy to get here. The Kubota dealer gave me all the sleeves for the implements I bought at the time and through in some extras. No issues here with the QH15!

Downside of a skid steer is you can’t see behind and can’t use three-point hitch attachments. But for bucket and pallet work they rule.

First of all thank you for sharing this knowledge with all of us. I'm shopping for a new tractor and I'm doing my very best to become as educated as I can before I make this purchase. Videos like the one that you have done help people like me make a more informed and intelligent decision. I think that I am going with the Kioti RX7320PC

Dealership and service are just as important. Things are going to happen, your going to need filters and parts and whatnot so aslong as you find a good dealer that's half the battle. Few years back my dad got a John Deere 1023e and there was a $1500 difference between the two Deere dealerships within 1hr from each other. Quick attach bucket is important too, some models have pinned on bucket, quick attach is a must.
