One of todays best artists. She is real. She sings from her soul. The lyrics come from her heart and her guitar playing is a God given talent. A rare gem.

I grew up listening to Tracy Chapman. We weren’t allowed to watch tv in my house but there was always music… always. I spent so many nights growing up laying in my bed crying praying for God to save me. To change my life and take me out of the situation I was in and listening to songs from Tracy pour through the house. I didn’t know it then but God was helping me through the music. I wouldn’t have made it without it

I first heard Tracy Chapmen while repainting the youth leaders living room. She had this album on CD. I learnt so much from her messages, like what it means to put soul in your perspective. To know the real value of whats pure and true in this world. To see through facades in others. To know dignity comes from within.
