This was a really nice video and very concise, I really was expecting to get a lot more confused but this was definitely the best video out there for classifying it quickly.

Thank you so much. After learning about top roping (which is what I do mainly in local area unless I go to a gym) and lead climbing, I started hearing about sport and trad and was just like “woah wait, I’m just gunna find a quick video to explain it all”

Thanks for the video! I would love to hear more on lead climbing tips. As a lead climber, who climbs slab often I am looking for mental acuity and confidence and any tips are welcome.

This was so good. What did you use to create those animations? I think a explanation of the other types that went by quickly by on the beginning would also be great: ice climbing, crack climbing etc.

Thanks a lot for your awesome feedback! I made this video by hand, drawing all elements as vector graphics and animating those (almost frame by frame) in after effects. This video was a demo piece for me to test my animation skills. It was super fun, so I'd love love to make a series in the same style at some point - but right now I just lack time to commit to a project like this (this one video took about 140hrs to make). Cheers, Markus

Bouldering with just a matrass below? sounds dangerous, you may miss the matrass and hit the ground, and a mattrass may still be a huge hit.
