Stop limit.... I want to stop the order at 29.95 but if goes lower than 29.90 I prefer to keep it as a swing trade or long position. Of course, the limit at 5 cents difference doesn't make a lot of sense in so little shares, at least to me, but with a bigger order it could make a difference. Just my point of view, I am too new in this world to be teaching, but as once I heard...there is no one so wise that have nothing to learn and no one to dumb that have nothing to teach. Keep up the good work, I, and a lot of people. enjoy your, down to earth, videos.

A stop-limit order is an order to buy or sell a stock that combines the features of a stop order and a limit order. Once the stop price is reached, a stop-limit order becomes a limit order that will be executed at a specified price (or better). The benefit of a stop-limit order is that the investor can control the price at which the order can be executed. the problem is once stop price is triggered, the stop-limit price may not marketable

This was incredibly helpful as a small-scale example. I had no idea that the online brokerages were so automated. So setting profit vs. time-spent aside, technically you could profit very easily by just buying a strong, proven share (like ATT) at $30, then immediately setting a Stop value for $30.01? Judging by the the buy variance in this video, that would result in a profit in a matter of seconds. Obviously that tiny profit wouldn't be worth the trader's time, but I'm wanting to make sure I understand the concept with an easy example like that.
@claytrader7 ай бұрын
Correct, you could do that. Buy at $10. Sell at $10.01.

What are your thoughts on buying and shorting stocks, as opposed to day trading options? I understand the decay of options over time, and the risk involved with those. It's my understanding that shorting stocks requires a margin account, and can have additional fees and risks associated with that. Just curious about your thoughts on these 2 ways of trading compared to each other. Thanks!

DO you think a beginner should start off with penny stocks, stocks above a dollar or options? I saw your video saying that we should understand the charts....but what does that mean? I've been trying to find something to learn about the indicators and all of that but I can't find anything good.

First off, I love your videos! Second, this may seem straight-forward but it still confuses me, why do day-traders sell when they know they’ll lose money and not wait for the price to at least break even, even if that means waiting a day+

ClayTrader I know that’s not a given but many companies seem to bounce back some unless something has gone wrong, I guess it just depends on the type of company you’re buying in
