Trading pullback with SQX Stock Picker Engine!

Price action patterns like Pullback are very resilient and can be a part of any trading strategy. I developed a trading strategy based on pullback pattern and applied to Futures and ETFs in a portfolio. In this video I will use the same pattern and apply it to all components inside multiple indexes like SP 500, Nasdaq 100, Russell 2000, where I will rank stocks and trade the top 5 of each index every day.

Hi Ali. At 6:13 all ROCs shown are negative. At 7:12 position score function (1-ROC[5](1)) increases the more negative the ROC which is the opposite of the intended criterion for ranking which possibly affects the final results of the algorithm. Provided the ROC0 for which case the original expression (1-ROC) is applicable (as shown in SQx documentation “Algorithmic Stockpicking trading for everyone - version 2)

..actually since ROC is expressed in percent (so theoretically it can fluctuate between -100 and positive infinity) the function should be 100 + ROC[5](1)

Great video, but I ask you a question Ali: what robustness test do you do on this strategy? strategyQuantX does not have active crosschecks for the stockpicker style.... and without robustness testing overfitting is almost certain don't you think?

Robustness is the same concept regardless of what strategy you are testing. While cross check is not available you can still do it manually

hello, ali, tell me why algowizard does not see other tools ??? , algowizard, settings, data, symbol ..... gives me only @EW , but does not see the forex tools, I have already downloaded their data, from the dukascopy service ...., so I can’t create strategies, it gives an error, the symbol was not found, use default @EW , what can be done ???? ... Thank you .

The new stock picker engine will not use any custom blocks so as to be compatible with the cloud engine. Try to use normal engine and if u have same error, then download the latest version
