Thank you Jeff it's refreshing to see a hunter using traditional bows in a hunting scenario.

A very good example of why not to be a hero and pick the heaviest bow you can draw. Your patience and smarts get you a lot of great results Jeff

Wow that was fun watching

Try this Jeff. Sew a small pocket on the front of your left leg, mid thigh. This is the perfect spot to rest the tip of the lower limb. No need to hold the bow forever. Works like a charm. Glad you found her. Happy New Year 🦌🦌

You are correct! Only hunted once for my Son was to be born a year later, now single Father. Tree stand, Long Bow, two does came with in 20 yards, Hit perfect , but she ran, the other doe ran, I waited and waited, and waited, and finally Dropped my bow with a line down with the string to the ground, stood up, and about 80 yards out, here comes a massive buck that viewed me standing up, and he calmly turned around and just slowly walked away. I did have a tag for a buck, found this doe about 400 yards away, took about 5 hours to clean pack and Mountain Bike with a deer dolly trailered behind my mountain bike to my jeep. About 3 miles away on a gravel road. No motorized vehicles aloud. Still the lead doe is what the Males are into. Have a great week.

This wore me out too. I couldn't quit watching. Congratulations and thank you. I had to go back the next day after a deer but the coyotes got almost all of him.

Brother Jeff, I wish you would talk about what adjustable nock set you use and maybe even tie one up for us. A lot of videos showing nock sets that are not worthy of wasting my thread. If you need content ideas, there's one.

Back in the old days before compounds, a lot of hunting pants had a small pocket sewn just above the left knee to put the tip of your bow in to support it. This was back in the Baker tree stand days and earlier. In the 80s I had my wife sew in one of these little pockets in my camo pants to support my Bighorn bow, back then I hunted standing up most of the time.

You sound just like me with a 65 pound Bighorn by GFA and it’s was quite the bow till it delaminated and died!

Great Video. A quick question please. I’m having a problem purchasing 100 grain inserts for my aluminum arrows. 2216 and 2219 xx75s. Any recommendations.

@instinctiveaddictionarcher89985 ай бұрын
It’s actually one we built back in 2022, it’s an Instinctive Addiction Archery Ghost C2 double carbon recurve, it’s the very last one we built before selling out and I kept it for my personal bow.

Awesome hunt! Congratulations! I see you use a 3 finger glove for shooting. How do you manage that in the cold to keep your fingers warm? 😬
@instinctiveaddictionarcher89986 ай бұрын
It’s not easy lol mostly try to keep my shooting hand in my vest pocket with a warmer 😁

I really enjoy your content. Do you have an online store? If so, please provide info. I can’t find anything when I do a search…

We sure did have a full service pro shop and bow manufacturing but we sold the bow building equipment and I moved the shop to my home and just do setup tuning and arrow builds for guys right now and staying quite busy lol but I’m also a field staffer for 3Rivers and going to do a lot of things with them this year so I’m referring my customers to them for the most part, they’re really expanding their product line right now 👍🏻

Jeff, I am dealing with target panic only when I shoot at a deer, I’ve grazed two deer this year and missed another 4. My practice groupings are 2” or less at 15 yards so I am confident in my form and ability when practicing but for some reason I jump real bad as I release when I shoot at a deer. I’m still looking to kill my first whitetail with a traditional setup. Any pointers on how to deal with that?

Write down your shot process (mine is 5 steps). Talk yourself through the shot on EVERY SINGLE SHOT.
@instinctiveaddictionarcher89986 ай бұрын
It happens brother trust me! I usually just try to block out everything when I start to draw and focus on where I want the arrow to go.
