Jaworski‘s binoculars 8 x 42 are fantastic. But I paid $2000 Canadian 13 years ago. These were bought with an inheritance I received from one of my brothers. I think of him every time I’m deer hunting or birding etc.

I use a compct pair of Leupold 6x30 for hunting whitetails in Oklahoma. I've never regretted taking them hunting, but I've regretted leaving them in the truck numerous times.

I’ve struggled with this for a very long time. I’m not gentle or kind. My words are usually harsh to prove a point and not spoken in love. It hurts to admit it and I’m sure it drives people away. Thanks for the words of wisdom spoken here.

I randomly took binoculars on hunts for years. I did/do take a zoom camera most of the time. I pretty much take binos all the time for archery. They can mess you up on gun hunts though. If you see deer while rifle hunting, it is best to put the scope on them, because there may be something in there you want to shoot, but the chance for the shot can be lost trying to first look at them with binos. I use Redfield Rebel. Great optics for the price. They also help pass the time. Can also be used for scouting sign. I have looked at what I thought was a giant rub at a distance with the naked eye, and when I got up to it, it was just a dead trunk with the bark falling off. Can also work to locate antler sheds this time of year.

In South Dakota Bow season for Deer is second full weekend in September to end of gun season in December. I do not have to worry about it but state limits you to 2 tags so 1 east of Missouri and 1 west of Missouri or 2 on east/west river.

@@SamkoTradBow It is though deer has been down for a while due to blue tongue and a unknown disease and for shotgun wild Pheasants is amazing. We have one of the better spring turkey areas where I live in Pierre (Pier) area of South Dakota. I should get my licenses this year to do bowfishing as I live no more then 2/3rds a mile from the Missouri river and the shore fishing is really good.

I use my longbow as basically a monopod, if im saying that right? By putting the lower tip on my boot toe, and either putting The upper tip in the little slit between the two barrels or usually taking my left hand around the upper limb with its fingers holding the left barrel and right hand is free to hold the other side and use the focus wheel.

them Nikon 8-24x25s are pretty sweet. sure, something with a larger front objective is better in low light but the zoom is handy, and fixed magnification generally also allows more light and will often produce a cleaner image but that zoooooom. just get the elbows on the chest. i used to bring a adjustable monocular but two open eyes are easier and the extra weight and space is welcomed over my monocular.

I love my Diamondbacks. Is there a reason why you didn't use the warranty rather than super gluing the eye cups?
@SamkoTradBow
@SamkoTradBow 4 ай бұрын
Great question. Reason is I don't believe any bino would hold up to the crap I put these thru so it's no fault of vortex and they should not have to pay for my abuse on them.

@@SamkoTradBow That's very admirable. Many hunters would just get them replaced over and over. I have a feeling you wouldn't want to be without them for the 6-8 weeks either.
