HaStA Ar Trae young still gets slighted. Recent front office poll asked them which young player would you start a franchise with, 13 players received votes, Trae Young didn’t get one. Was the only all star not on an Olympic qualifying team. Top 5 in points and assists , not even 3rd team all nba . The hawks organization wouldn’t even talk about the playoffs going into this past season and the gm admitted he didn’t expect the leap in Trae youngs development, so the roster that was constructed around him mirrored that thought. But some how, Trae gets blamed and all his numbers are devalued because he played on a team that was admittedly tanking , and as a second year player he couldn’t lift them into the playoffs despite losing the second best player on a tanking team for 25 games as well. They keep moving the goal posts for Trae.

@@William_Stephens You hit the nail right on the head. He started for both the Nike All-EYBL Team (which had multiple current NBA lottery picks) and Eastern All-Star Team and his numbers qualify to make an All-NBA Team or an Olympic roster and he has yet to make either. I think part of it might be his numbers defensively, but nobody cared when it was Harden who was the worst defender in the league.

If I'm Giannes, I'm signing with the Hawks in free agency. They have a great young core in Trae Young, Cam Reddish, and John Collins. Trae Young can score as well as find the open man so Giannes can focus more on defense and Atlanta is a dope city as well, much better than Milwaukee, and staying in the East, it won't be as hard to go to the playoffs and the finals than if he were to go to a Western conference team, Atlanta can give him a max contract as well, so it's a win-win situation all across the board
