TRAFFIC BLINKERS BATTERIES STOLEN

For the public safety, in the month of September 2023 Dimapur Traffic Police installed traffic blinkers in accident prone area to avoid accidents but in a shocking incident the thief stole the batteries of the traffic blinkers in the Burma camp area and near Hollotoli School.
The Dimapur Traffic Police led by ACP Traffic, Ngimchule Nampeung NPS is investigating the incident.

This incident is not something new. In my locality the Indian Army donated solar street lights 5 years back. And within 1 year of installation the batteries were all stolen..The community was blaming the drug addicts.

It will be good if the police can install cctv cameras in various locations and monitor live from the police stations. This way manpower can be utilised judiciously by sending patrol cars when crime is spotted being committed. Even traffic cops on duties can be monitored if they are performing duties or busy with their mobile phones in some corner. Today there was a massive jam in city tower junction but no cops could be seen around.
