"This one kid had STAYED rich while we slang the grave shifts. "I'm tired of it" said a cat whose name I'ma leave anonymous cuz he might take it as some kind of diss....." Nas' verse = Lyrical story telling at it's best, he paints such a clear picture with the words & you can follow along bar for bar, and that story is shit that happens in the hood EVERY damn day
@TvLOverdose
@TvLOverdose 5 жыл бұрын
Yeah it's even more astonishing when you think about how Nas didn't life that live at all. It's sick how he can tell such a great story that's just written(lived) by others. Remember, Nas aint a thug at all.

@@TvLOverdose just cuz u didn't live that life. He grew up around that life...he came from that life.. His neighborhood was that life.. If he lived in Mansion with a butler all his life, you would have a point. He live in the same bldgs where what he talked about was going on.

John Lansing I think you would be surprised. I bet most of these talentless hacks would give props to both of those dudes, the problem is they won't make music like that because today's fans don't give two fucks for lyrics, bunch of ignorant whiny fuck bois.
@johnlansing14
@johnlansing14 8 жыл бұрын
MrScoobySnacks23 I wouldn't blame it completely on the fans either. I think these dudes rapping now a days actually have no innovative talent. The one's like Nas and Prodigy who had meaning and flow all idolized Kool G and Rakim and shit. Rap ain't the same and it sucks but I'll stick to listening to the classics and underground
