The Beatles were all young when they were catapulted to worldwide fame, but George Harrison was the youngest, and he didn’t always receive the best treatment from John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Lennon and McCartney were writing hit songs right out of the gate, and while Harrison quickly evolved into a great songwriter himself -- penning such classics as “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” and “Something” -- his contributions were never given the same credibility by the band or producer George Martin.
Sadly, disagreements with bandmates were far from the only difficulties that the Quiet Beatle faced in his life, so let’s take a look at some tragic details about George Harrison.

George's son was attending Brown University in Providence Rhode Island. I stopped into a small coffee shop there and looked over to a table in the corner and George was sitting there. He was with a couple of other people. I wanted to go shake his hand and thank him for his music but I respected his privacy.On the way out our eyes locked I nodded and he returned with a smile. I loved the Beatles and George was always my favorite. What a great man and musician so sad he suffered so much in his last years. RIP Mr.Harrison!

The living conditions were what most working people had at that time and we all just got on with it. Water was heated in some way for washing and filling a tin bath on front of an open fire. Tbe outside toilet was normal too. Damn cold in winter. There would be ice on the inside of the bedroom windows. No central heating for most. That open fire in the living room was all there was and a hot water bottle to warm up the bed.

@@bluesteel5688 I was 9 when I heard my first Beatle song. Followed their lives from time to time. It must have been GREAT for them ALL to live a dream they shared. I know they would not see it as a tragedy. Lennon losing his Mom and then Sutcliffe when he was 21. Tragic. Sad though when George passed. At least he got to be a part of something Historically Unique. Nobody will ever forget THE BEATLES. ☮️

@@elainebines6803 If there's a fake Paul, then the fake was *the greatest replacement in music history* I've studied this, if there's really a fake then the fake was clearly the superior bass player, songwriter, and singer. Hell, he was even the best guitarist in the band at the time we're talking about (overall I'd give it to Harrison because he was focusing more on songwriting and sitar at that time. He eventually became an incredible writer, arranger, and slide player as a guitarist. Always had such concise melodic sense too while McCartney had the fire.) Yesterday is cute but I'll take the dude who played bass on Revolver, wrote most of Sgt. Peppers, and then was on Abbey Road. Even just the vocals on Golden Slumbers and Oh Darling alone make this "fake" totally worth it in my book. Honestly, McCartney, Ram, and Band On The Run are enough to justify the "fake Paul" being the true Paul in my book. The problem with this idiotic conspiracy is that it claims the OG Paul died before all of his best works, and almost 50 years or bitching tours. I'm also just gonna leave it here that as he gets older he just looks more like James McCartney (his dad) but if Jimbo had tons of money, and took the pill for hairloss🤣
@shawnmcvey7789
@shawnmcvey7789 3 жыл бұрын
@@BlackHatCinephile If he's a fake why does he look more like the real Paul's dad every day and why does his son look like a chubby, blonde Paul? Plastic surgery doesn't mimic familial aging or the passing of gene's, that's why it's pretty obvious that Michael Jackson's kids were adopted. Plus, Lennon was a *terrible* husband, George cheated on his wife with Ringo's, and Ringo spent most of the 70s making a case that he should probably be sober. They weren't perfect, and neither was the music. David Byrne's voice changed a lot between the first album and Remain In Light, is he an imposter? Is the strat wielding Clapton an imposter? He plays completely differently and writes music that has nothing in common with 60s Clapton. What about Jeff Beck from Wired on? That *can't* be the same guitar player. He's using his fingers and a whammy bar! By these metrics of musicality there's like 7 people who have played David Bowie because of how differently his voice sounds. There's no way that has to do with mics, developing as a singer, voice changes, the progression of technology, etc.... What a shame they couldn't find replacements for Hendrix, judging by how the Faul conspiracy is I would've loved Fendrix even more than the original. John DoppleBonham would've redefined drumming further. Jim Imporrison would've had voice lessons. Rhandy Rhroplacements would've been even more talented than the first, and probably would still play with Ozzy. Does this mean that Matthew Broderick died in that car accident going the wrong way, the woman actually survived, and she was paid to keep silent so people wouldn't know Ferris Bueller is dead? It lines up with Jennifer Gray getting her nose job...SO IT HAS TO BE TRUE. My identity, grasp on reality, worldview, and tastes are defined and informed by the conspiracy theories I choose to believe. Anyone who refutes my claims are sheep that *must* be educated so they know the truth that I know from reading articles with circumstantial proof and hearsay at best, that I found by typing theories I wanted to believe in Google. Now that we've established the real truth let's tackle the conspiracy that AC/DC are all actually 7 feet tall but they use LOTR technology to make them seem shorter because that music would be too intimidating coming from giant Australians. Or, how about the one where we find out Kurt Cobain killed himself because he was really trans and couldn't live a lie anymore. That's why he wore dresses in that music video! I also have proof Bill Bruford is not only still playing drums, but he's played on Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, and Shawn Mendes albums to name a few. The word on the street is that all of his prog stuff was to hide that he's the most prolific 4/4 pop drummer that's ever lived.

@@shawnmcvey7789 British people, Liverpudlians in particular, don't have to be related to look alike. The four Beatles were hard to tell apart, before they got different hairstyles. And Billy is not identical to Paul. At all. There are comparisons. Different head shape, different nose positions, different height. The point of him being barefoot on Abbey Road was to show that even with his shoes off, he's the tallest Beatle. He used to be the second shortest. William Shepherd Sr has said that he hopes someday his son can get the recognition he deserves, under his own name. Billy doesn't like being Paul. He has called himself Billy and William, on several occasions. One of the top Paul Is Dead Youtiube channels used to be Iamaphoney. The channel had never before seen photoes, insider information, and it claimed to be going to provide proof in the form of Mal Evans's secret diary and notes. Someone investigated into who's the owner of the channel, and the channel was owned and operated by Paul McCartney and Neil Aspinall. Right before the deadline for when the channel was going to reveal the truth, Neil Aspinall died, and the channel was abandoned. Nothing was posted on it for years, but lately, it posted a few random things. Fake Paul has never said that he's not an imposter, even when people ask. Instead of denying it, he "jokingly" says he is. Paul's brother Mike did the same thing on Donahue. Mike said "My brother Paul died in 66 and was replaced by a double." Just like Billy, he said it jokingly, so people would take it as a denial, but it's not a denial in words, it's actually a confirmation in words, and only an implied denial. That's an old trick for deceiving without technically lying.

@@BlackHatCinephile ...I came up with so many great jokes and all you can answer with is "people from the same town look alike". Tsk tsk, very racist. If you said all the Temptations looked alike because they're from Detroit it would be considered racist. -Ringo looked like a mole -John looked like a fish -George looked like an overly detailed sculpture -Paul looked like he was always just about to make an "O" face I also heard Robert Fripp died after playing on Heroes and that's why in the 80s he played so differently with wildly different gear. His fro was replaced with slicked back straight hair, so there's absolutely no way it could be the same person. On top of all that, this has to mean that skinny fish Lennon was clearly also an imposter because he had a completely different role, left his wife and child on a whim, and looked like a completely different person. THEY WERE ALL FAKE!

Divorce from your spouse is never easy, and dying from throat cancer must have been extremely painful. But the near-fatal attack on him in his own home by a crazed fan is the only part of George's life that I would really call "tragic". He lead the kind of life that most musicians (heck, let's just say it, most people) would give anything for. He was truly blessed with talent and surrounded by people who loved him.

It is a great testimony to his unselfish generous nature that he remained close friends with Patsy and Eric Clapton after she left him to be with Eric . The lifestyle Harrison lived as a schoolchild is nothing out of the ordinary. The story of thousands and thousands of youngsters growing up in the same time frame, especially in the North of England, would have read exactly the same, even down to the outside toilet. Don't make it sound worse than it was.

@@nox4298 Some believe that. If so, George's subconscious 'inspiration' was more precise than any other before or since: Melody, chord pattern, rhythm, verse & chorus. @Sid Patankar. Lately, these cases are getting wonky, but back then they were,(correctly), all about the main melody. It comes down to how many consecutive notes are the same. "OHD"'s melody is not truly similar to "MSL" or "HSF", but "MSL" & "HSF";s main melodies are virtually identical. That's why George lost the case. (Of course, he bought the publishing company soon afterwards, so it was all irrelevant.)

They were babies, really. I realize we all ascribed great power to each of them. What we must do is "strip down" all the hype and recognise they were all very young and often scrambling to stay above water in the face of great personal challenges and astounding, ever-lasting fame. George's family, though very poor, was perhaps the most stable. Even, perhaps, more stable than Paul's. The talent -- separately and together -- remains prodigious. So grateful for George, and for all of them.

Yes, and Dahni considered Stella Mac cartney as his old sister. So they met together. all the Beatles were like brothers , with love and fighting. Ringo said, recently, he had no brother and found 3 brothers with the Beatles and Paul was with him and said we were brothers. John said there were like family with up and down, love and fighting . But he said that in the end when all is told they love each other. And if George accepted to die in Paul’s house, Paul and George were closer that people think.

For me it'e hard to say which Beatle was a better human being since i never met them only through there music and interviews. I believe the synergy of each individual became the whole of the sum. Each member of the band played an important role in the music. and all of them had very distinct voices in singing and playing. They all had there issues and that's what made them the Beatles.I thank them all for for giving us great music now and especially when i was a teen. I can listen to there music and remember my youth. They were given a gift and they gave it to us all. To this day i'm still fascinated with there music and interviews of them in the past. Thank You George and my guitar still gently weeps as i play.
