Will the Rolling Stones ever stop making rock and roll music? The legendary rock band has been around for over 50 years and is still as influential as ever. They were one of the bands that led the “British Invasion” in 1964, and were a very big part of the rebellious counterculture of the 1960s. The Rolling Stones have also given music fans countless hits and have sold close to 250 million records worldwide.
But being a rock and roll band for over 50 years and living the rock lifestyle can take its toll. The band has struggled with well-documented internal feuds and bouts with addiction. Here are the tragic details about The Rolling Stones.

It was indeed TRAGIC with the death of Brian Jones. If not for Brian there would never have been The Rolling Stones. Mick Jagger is just an ego perfectionist and Keith an ego addictive personality. They are pure creative talent. Strong egos are going to bump heads with THAT kind of EGO and WEALTH. Thankful the band is still together.... LOVE Ronnie Wood too since with Rod Stewart yet as men they were most LOSERS.

Oh, please. Not only were most of those songs written by Mick and Keith, but when albums took more of an artistic importance there was less of a focus on constantly churning out singles. Brian was an important player in the history of the Stones, but he was not the be-all and end-all.

christine paris ......given your comments regarding Brian Jones, I can only assume you’ve read Keith’s book? I’m not interested enough to bother but think it’s hilarious that anyone buys into a book written by someone who spent most of his life totally wasted yet can seemingly recall everything with such clarity. Keith despised Brian yet copied everything down to BJ’s bohemian dress-style but unfortunately, KR lacks the charisma Brian had. Richards *always* looks putrid, money never did buy “class”.

Nothing new or pushed a little harder here. Pot arrests were not as terrible as it sounded. The band changes were what they were, they adjusted. Daryl Jones has been their bass player now for about as long as Bill Wyman was. Both of them are incredibly talented and nice guys. I was leery of Steve Jordon even before he came out on stage, but he is a perfect fit. He is bringing a crisp sound and pace and is pushing the other guys a little. The latest tour was very good and fun. Steve is also a humble man and is not at all mugging for the camera of Charlie’s incredibly dedicated fans. Good job for him.
