People send me a lot of request for hikes where they can see wildlife. Most of the request are for hikes where they can see moose. This is a very good hike to see moose; I saw 4 on this hike, and 2 of those are in this video. But, you may also see bears, and I will show some of the bears that I have seen while hiking this trail. This is about a 12 mile hike with good trails all the way.

Nice hike - and a good reminder that you don't need to be "in the center of the Park" to see some of the beauty and wildlife. In fact, the fringes are in some ways better (fewer crowds). I appreciated the verse you imbedded also. Thanks for sharing Stan.

Sean, glad you continue running. If you start out on this trail just before daylight you may see some interesting things.

'Running' and 'grizzly' seems a dangerous combination, but obviously so far you outran any that tried. Don't push your luck. I've seen a grizzly chase a man on a mountain bike downhill at a crazy speed and almost outran the bike! :)

@@ingeborgm6147 I understand....trust me! But id rather run these solo then to be afraid and never run them at all. Risk i am willing to take.

Very well done Stan! I enjoy seeing your gear, cloths, what you take for water, the details of the hike like watching for spider webs, etc. Seems like we are right there with you when you point out where you have been and where you are going. Really like the extra video inserted from past hikes when you reach those spots again on the trail. Thanks for sharing your adventures with us!

Love the Teepee area. I hike here a lot with my dogs but have to turn around if I take the fork towards Daly as the dogs are not allowed in the park. We typically stay straight on Teepee to the creek so they can go for a swim. Thanks for posting this video Stan.

That was full of great adventure ! The last grizzly was surely quickly on his way. Maybe he got a scent of you. And the other 2 bears were digging up something good finding a lot to eat. The wolves were great to see having there rest love seeing wolves. And the woodpecker they are so loud for a little bird . You got a good shot of him how they use there been as a tool. Very good video nice bear area , pretty views. Thank you for another fun video to watch!!!

Thank you Stan for taking us along this hike with the memory ‘lane/trail’ clips…it truly is a wild and beautiful place. I believe I may have driven past this trailhead on my summer adventure in July. I realized late and missed turning around. In the future I hope to one day hike this area but for me I am not comfortable going alone into these special yet wild places so it will need to be another trip. This summer was filled with much wonder, awe, beauty, goodness and kindness…my soul was filled with grace and gratitude. Be well and take care of yourself. - lori lee

Thank you Stan and as usual I enjoyed it more that my words could ever say! This is a gift to someone like me who never had the chance to visit God's paradise. (I realize God has more than one!) Yes there are documentaries that run for an hour, but they can not come even close in value and quality to your videos because yours is factual and real, not set up with a professional movie crew that manipulates light and all that does not fit plus the insert wild animals where needed. Watching you is the closest for me being there and I even get nervous when you approach low thick bushes and trees where I always suspect a waiting bear! I am sure I am not the only subscriber that does that. :)

@19:12, at 150yds from a Grizzly, you have less than 10s to get your bear spray out and be ready to release the orange fumes if they ran at you full speed. Good luck!

I'm usually afraid of bears when camping and wouldn't be okay hiking in bear country--I think I'd be wearing the electric fence along the hike...
