Join me on my trail ride as I go through how to get over some obstacles I've encountered along the way! These are all little tricks I've learned over the past few years. I hope this comes in handy for you guys and girls who are learning to ride off road.

Thank you Meg, you are a superb instructor!!!!!! I could learn more from this 5 min tutorial than any "videos" trying to teach you mega ego inflated methods. There are great instructors out there, but I am more in favor to a "ego-less" and more simple, humble, experienced rider such as yourself.!!! thank you so much again!

You explain techniques and Body positioning skills Well.. You could Do a Clutching Video with Explanation (as you Go On the Trail) Which Would Help Greatly for us Old MXers that Grew Up WFO and Never thought about Going Over Obstacles that we Could Go Around... The POV Clutch video was a Good One, and Continued Verbal Education as to Clutch On/Off (at the Engagement Point) From you Would Certainly Help me as We Don't Have Trails around Here and We Go to the Mountains Only Occasionally to Ride them.. Otherwise we are Working All the frickin Time.. Little More Clutch explanation Megs pls

ever considered sending a video to ALL ( and I mean all) the known enduro manufacturers , asking for some form of sponsorship ? Italy ( Beta , TM , Fantic) , France ( Sherco), Spain (Scorpa) , Austria ( KTM ), Sweden ( Husqvarna) ... I would just go systematically ... I think you are riding pretty well ... if you are into races and can reach some good results, it's always a door opener for a sponsorship ... I think if you believe in yourself , and are consistent enough, you will eventually succeed : ) God Bless you and good luck !

Tip 3 on the first one. Hit the log on the upper part with your front tyre and when that's over the obstacle deweight the rear and it will (usually, I have failed :)) pass over the log even if it's on an angle. Good or bad? It works for me on specific logs that you can't hit dead ahead. BTW, I'm picking up my new enduro next week (ktm 300 exc six days 2018), so excited!
@megs_braap
@megs_braap 6 жыл бұрын
pelleper Yes that's exactly right. De-weighting is a great way to get over side ways or wet logs without sliding out. I guess I do it naturally now. Congrats on your new ride by the way!

I’m 33 been riding quads my entire life. Ready for something new and to get away from the sand. Trail riding is my next adventure. Would you recommend staying away from a 450 Xcode or to start out with a 250 xc model? Any advice on this would be great. Thanks and keep up the great vids.

So I started riding a 350cc warrior when I was 7 it was my brother's and my parents I think wanted a late abortion. I moved to a 350 banshee them a yfz450 atv by 16. Now I'm in my 20's when I switched from atv's to dirt bikes I was 19. Went from an 85 to a 125 to a 250 all two strokes and then a yz450f. If it's your first dirt bike I couldn't recommend a 450 four stroke or a 250 two stroke (the 250 is faster in a lot of cases) I did decent when racing 450's later on in life. I'm 25 now and my favorite bike is a Ktm 150sx two stroke. They make the same hp as a road going crf450L but they weigh about 200lbs wet. Roughly a 100 lbs lighter than the crfL and a lot cheaper than the 250sx especially when you break something. So you can really thrash the fuck out of it without caring. You got 11 less hp but given you are new to riding dirt bikes a 150sx will be faster than you for most likely the entire time you own it. The 250's and 450's are just so fast at this point the pro ama riders want a 350 4 stroke class. So I'd recommend a 125cc or 150cc two stroke at the most, definitely don't start with a 250 two stroke, I'd say start with a 450 4 stroke instead of a 250 two stroke but I really wouldn't recommend either. People will say something about the small motor but you'll probably be faster than they are because you can actually learn to use most of your bike where as they just won't ever be able to learn to.
