Quelle: n-tv

Thank you for sharing this to us, as rightly said it's a marvelous piece of art on wheels, you've revived a glorious past I guess Mr.Bugati must be also happy seeing this from above. Appreciate all the craftsman aka magicians to bring this piece of perfection back to life.

I also enjoy the Guild show (also available on youtube) when they recreate the Bugatti Aerolyte one-off prototype based on drawings and a type 52 chassis..

That is not an original Royale chassis. Ettore’s crashed Royale was rebuilt into the Coupe Napoleon which still exists in the French National Car Museum (Schlumpf). Great copy, nothing more.

Fascinating car...likely 6 mpg for a 7000 lb. car. What France really needed however at that time was to mobilize it's working class with a cheap car which would have expanded its economy. The Citroen 2CV did not appear until after WW2.

Does it have the 14.7 like it used to, bigger than the production models? (and the Pierce Arrow often considered bigger)

I've never seen a Royale, but I did see a 1914 LaFrance speedster (!) show up at a local car show years ago. It was surreal. Huge. Biggest straight-six I've ever seen.

How is the car defined according to the law and of course the Bugatti owners own clubs? Is it a new car, is it an old one?

Actually compared to today, the machining tolerances were not very good. There's a lot of conjectural fantasizing going on here. When you make statements about machining tolerances that are not factual, it's a warning sign.

Bugatti engines have only 2 gaskets; one to the intake manifold, the other to the exhaust manifold. Everything else in the engine is adjusted by hand.

Bugatti first built turbines for planes and the engine in this car is a turbine too. It needs zo be that large, the engine has a displacement of nearly 15000cm3
@contactrpg5936
@contactrpg5936 4 жыл бұрын
Nonsense. The engine is a very large line-8, not a turbine. Also, 12700 cubic centimeters.

Well, the same could be said about 40-50 years of US mass produced cars, but having travelled in some and having owned some, I wouldn't say that.
