Trailer loading the John Deere 2025R Compact Tractor!

Жыл бұрынHow to load the John Deere 2025R (or any compact tractor) on a utility trailer and tiedown for transport. I use an 18ft / 7K GVWR PJ Trailers utility trailer with a dovetail, which makes for easy loading of my tractor. Video shows how to use 2" rachet straps to secure the tractor on the trailer with stake pocket D-rings and both axle and lasso strap types!

I've got an 18 foot car trailer that I bought for hauling my 2025R. With bucket and backhoe, it comes in about 3200 lbs. I too have jack stands for the back of the trailer. I've seen many guys just drive right onto these trailers and the tractor lifts the front of the trailer up and could cause the back wheels of the yow vehicle to get off the ground. The jack stands are a good idea.

Just wondering why you didnt strap hood, my manual says to load backwards to prevent hood from opening during transport. You surf the greentalk and facebook group, there is always one out there with hood coming off. I have similar trailer with ready rails, they are rated 1,250 WLL, so 4 of those is 5,000 lbs which is more than tractor. for commercial DOT securement is 50% of equipment actual weight. Looking at your setup your setup for securing a 26,400 lb tractor, based on your straps being the weakest link at 3,300 WLL.

I don't drive it very far on the trailer, and usually not at highway speed, so wasn't thinking about strapping down the hood. Good idea though and thanks for the share/comment! I know my straps are more than I need, I just like the bigger size and would rather be over cautious with it!
