We are competing in a scavenger hunt on BeamNG Drive, which has us trying to collect trailers dotted around the map and all sorts of interesting strategies are attempted.

I feel this could work . Use car to tow up to a line hand brake turn and detach trailer 😂😂😂 aiming is only a suggestion

- Amy gets points for being incredibly smart with car choice and just a fast driver. - Impega gets points for ingenuity with the push strat. - Laddo gets skill points for that incredible double reverse. - Alex gets pity points for being the only person to crash.

Respect to Laddo for reversing the two trailers at once. Tried that once irl and failed miserably

@@Timooooooooooooooo Ok so it wasn’t really two separate trailers: you know these trailers which have an axle in the front and in the rear, and the front axle is rotates with the shaft connected to the trailer hinge? That’s basically two trailers

Additionally I was in a forklift though, which has rear steering. Trust me, driving a trailer (forwards or reverse) with rear wheel steering is already extremely weird when you’re used to steering in the front, because when you steer you push the trailer to the side a lot while you normally just rotate your car around the trailer hinge point

@@rccookie6202 Forklifts are fun, and with those "dog" trailers their steering probably makes life easier. I've moved a few trailers with our forklift at work. I have made both front and rear hitches for it.

Should do a snake race, every lap you pick up an additional trailer. First one to make 3 laps wins.

Apologies to all, with the exception of Alex, for doing road trains, because I suddenly was hearing Thomas the Tank Engine music with those road trains, alongside narration like this: "Impega was huffing and puffing so hard, as the bothersome trailers held him back. "Pull back, pull back!" said the trailers. "I can do it, I can do it," Impega the white van said." But well done to Laddo for proving you could make a three trailer road train! That impressed me!

Turning before detaching the trailers leaves open the option to just not slow down when leaving them behind, which provides a small advantage - the trailers, being two or more turned in a group, will waste all their momentum travelling in a circle rather than escaping the area. Going so fast runs a bit of risk of rolling, of course, but if you do that the trailers aren't going anywhere either.

Objection! Amy should get a time penalty and whoever the course scrutineers are should have a reprimand: that skidpad trailer for everyone else was right at the apex of the corner while for Amy it had rolled nearly to the edge of the wet patch - much less time spent wheelspinning in the wet!

That was cool, and it gave me an idea for another event. How about you have a large area with a large number of trailers dotted around (maybe 50 or 100 or something), and you all set off from different locations at the same time with the aim of collecting as many as possible - the most trailers at the end of the time (20/30 mins?) wins. I would suggest that it would be allowed to run interference by crashing into each other (either to destroy their vehicle or the trailer they're towing - the cost/benefit of "I might cause them to have to reset at their starting point, but I might damage myself too much and have to reset as well/instead" could be interesting), and maybe even allowed to steal trailers from each other's drop-off points. Might be fun. :D

Strategy aside, hat tip to Laddo for the double trailer reverse, would love a live mike feed for the bleepable frustration… perhaps not bleeped?😏

Amy (leathercap) usually records our filming sessions as well so if you want the crew chat, you can always watch her PoV. Usually she upload her perspective either a day or a few days after Alex. So probably a day after part 2 comes out?

Interesting how amy and impega have about a 7 second time difference and laddo and Alex have about a 7 time difference.

I would've ran a awd diesel D Series and ran a similar route to Impega if I were to give this a go. I wonder what else has been ran

We had a No AWD rule when we had to pick a car. I (as you would see in Part 2) have gone with literally the first car I picked that had a diesel engine. Definitely not a good choice, but I had fun doing my run
