The fact that K5la runby at the end already proved who's boss.

Thank you for doing this lol. Airchime puts all horns to shame. That shocker is a joke, everyone that gets one thinks they’re major badass, the ego is hilarious. Thanks for showing off some real horns

For sure man! I chose a terrible day to do it lol. Hopefully I can get more airchime content up on the channel for ya!

Leslie’s are louder but air chime does make nicer sounds

Some dude pulled up to me and honked his hornblasters crap and meanwhile I had the RS3L mounted and we definitely know who won that battle 😂

Hornblasters not as good? Ive got the katrina 5 horn i gave a grand for. Shoot i think they are loud. Never heard any other brand. First ones ive had

@@lonestarr673 To be honest you’re better off investing in an actual horn from Leslie or Nathan Airchime, nothing beats the real deal. But hey if that’s what works for you then go for it.

I think the k5 is the king of train horns!

They’re all pretty loud 😂

As far as I know the Nathan k5 is considered the loudest horn in production. It only gets louder with more pressure and stable pressure

Possibly, I’m not sure.

The 5 bell in your K5LA is "mooing" tske off the back cap and flip both of the diaphragms around.

It’s severely worn on the nozzle. It needs machining.

It’s a loud one for sure

I have the k3la and they say it’s only 1db difference. But k5 sure sounds way louder or is ut just the video ?
@texasboystv5 ай бұрын
I measured my k3la at 137 db and my k5la at 138db. I think the biggest difference is tone and cfm. I notice longer honk times on 3 chime horns as compared to 5 chime horns.

@@texasboystvI was thinking of upgrading to the k5. Would my 5 gallons of air and 1/2 line be ok like I currently have Or would it bigger tank and 5/8 line? Thanks in advance and appreciate the videos
@texasboystv5 ай бұрын
Is it the black dot brake line? If so it’s actually 3/8” internal diameter and you can upgrade to a rubber 1/2” internal diameter rubber hose and you’ll notice a significant increase in volume. I’d stick with a k3 on 5 gallons
@jimshackelford_icu8125 ай бұрын
@@texasboystv It’s kind of the hard black plastic kind I got them from airhorns of Texas. So how would I connect it to my tank that way is there a certain fitting I would need for that ? Also my air solenoid is electric do I just need to get adapted to connect it like that ?
@texasboystv5 ай бұрын
Well, it should be 1/2” npt, I’d start by checking that, then it’s just a matter of getting the lines made up

I run 2 Shocker S6 kits at 200psi. Having the 12 horns simultaneously at 200psi will give a K5 airchime a run for its money any day. But yes I do agree 1 Shocker S4 kit does not compare to a K5.
@texasboystv Жыл бұрын
Do you have a decibel meter? I’ve used mine to measure the decibel outputs and used a decibel calculator to measure the output levels of shockers and the k5’s even when you triple the Db values of a shocker kit it doesn’t come close to the Db values of a k5
@bigbadassdiesel Жыл бұрын
I don't have a decibel meter but was thinking about buying one. I'm running 2 of the 6 horn shocker setups instead of the 4. The 6 horn setups are much louder. I upgraded from the 4 to the 6s because I wanted a more authentic sound without having to spend thousands on the k5. I'm also running them at 200psi.

@@bigbadassdiesel if you get one it would be interesting to see what it reads, I measured from 30 feet.
@ArturoRailProductions Жыл бұрын
To be honest I don’t think 200psi is safe for those flimsy shockers. I assume you have it regulated down to 110-130? If not then you should go wayyy down to at least 140.
@bigbadassdiesel Жыл бұрын
I've been running 200 psi on my shockers for years and have never had a problem. They're not flimsy if securely mounted. Also with having a total of 12 horns they are only seeing 200psi for a split second. I drain a 200 psi 5 gallon tank in seconds
