This is a record of my 4 day 2200km journey by train and helicopter from Moscow to the Yamal peninsula in Siberia where I photographed the indigenous Nenet reindeer herders. The video is made up of short movie sequences and still images that show changes to the vegetation density and human impact. The journey shows the pine forests of central Russia, crossing the Polar Ural mountains and finally arriving at Salakhard on the Arctic Circle. The last 300km is by helicopter before arriving at Seyakha on the north- east coast of the Yamal peninsula.
