There is only one way to reach Jungfraujoch - by train. If you start from Interlaken (the most popular point) it takes three separate trains and about 2.5 hours to reach the top. We chose to start the trip at Wilderswil, the first station from Interlaken, because we were staying here. It is also possible to start the trip in Grindelwald or Lauterbrunnen. We went up via Grindelwald and returned via Lauterbrunnen. You can do this with the one ticket and we recommend it. Tickets can be purchased on-line or at ticket offices at the various stations. Don't be put off by the high cost. This really is a wonderful day and is a unique experience.
