I'm from Moab, and the paved road ends and at some point turns into dirt not far from the end of the rail. This's the Potash road, and though this company is called Cane Creek Potash Mining, the actual cane creek is on the other side of the Colorado, and it's spelled Kane Creek. It sort of looks like home, they did a decent job. There's the Arches and Canyonlands National Parks nearby. Moab is part of a high desert with the La Sal mountains 20 miles away which reach beyond 10,000 feet. Moab sits at around 4500 feet, it's not as arid as you think. It's a beautiful place, but the last few years the area has become a mecca of tourism and is quickly being destroyed by way too many people and vehicles.

Ha! Funny you mentioned that Lawn Mowing Simulator, SP. Didn't even realize this was the same dev. Like you, having a lawn to mow IRL tempers my interest in that sim, but you have to respect the insane amount of fidelity they put into that... into a lawn mowing sim (he says incredulously). 🤣 Anyways, great job on the 1st Look. I may grab Cane Creek after I whittle down more of my shameful DLC backlog.

Also those hopper cars with the graffiti on them are from the peninsula corridor route for the mission bay local trains have cars like that in California, but I wish the csx and UP trains gave a option to pick different bell and horn sounds for the train you would be operating and randomize it on the AI trains plus have AI trains blow the horn and bell at crossings dim lights when passing your train and other trains on the route

i actually do like this route other than the loud traffic noise its a good route and a u get new liveries if u cant make the liveries and great video man.

At 24:00 you discuss the ballast colouration. If you look at proper photographs of this line the ballast texture is different in certain areas, it's almost black in places and then goes all the way to a golden tan, so, maybe Skyhook have got it half right.

Looks amazing but It sucks trying to mod horns in. I know someone else who will end up making the mod but I don't know when he will get to it. I wish there was an easier way to mod this game.

Entertaining and informative. Many LOL moments. You be funny. I made a promise to myself after buying TSW1 that until they release steam, American steam in particular, I would not spend another dime. But this looks pretty damn good. The rock face textures are impressive. Highly detailed track is a system and FPS killer. With the scenery they might have had to cut a few corners with the track, so that might be the reasoning.

I honestly just got into train sim and I kept hearing about dovetail and how they didn't fix bugs and thought the community was over exaggerating. Now I get it after almost 20 hours of tsw2. I And finding out all custom liveries have been bugged for 4 months with no fix. What a joke of a company. Won't buy this dlc till it's at least 50% off

Is there slack action? Doubt it, I can't take any train simulator seriously that features an American freight route with no slack action.

How did you use the camera thing

A shame the well done geography modeling by Skyhook is dragged down by the poor excuse of rolling stock from DTGs end. Interesting they went through the effort of making a new covered hopper but couldn't put in the actual proper rolling stock that runs on this route IRL. (Also, the trucks look off because the truck frames are also way lower than supposed to be.) Once again, the NA market gets the boot. Another obvious sign DTG doesn't care for this region. (Which leads me to believe they're doing it on purpose to scare away that market so they can stop making NA content)

Yeah the horns do suck, but when the first msts came out, people weren't crazy about those horns either.
