Yea it’s a shame they’re disappearing... but I guess budgets etc have a part in it. Think of Boeing 747s, love the planes but they’re costing too much to keep, so newer twin engine aircraft are staying

I was meaning they are slowly disappearing. Think, only part of GWR has them, LNER has got rid of them, EMR getting rid of them soon. So just a couple with cross country, Scot rail and GWR cornwall

That was a intense race and the crash that happened in that area is the ladbroke grove rail crash which killed the drivers of both trains and the trains in question was a thames trains commuter train and a hst

When the Class 800 IET were introduced to GWR was the electric power complete between Paddington and Reading? I believe they were on trail on the ECML at this time period.

@@gabrielstravels An ICE 3 type train would be amazing. The velaros are the fastest train models in Europe with a top speed of 250 mph (403 kmh) without a speed cap stated by Siemens. And the Velaro in Chin reached 302 mph on its speed test.

No not true. It was the original intention, however, electrification was descoped, and all the engines were respecified to operate at full power (original spec derated the engines for reliability), as they would need to match hst speed profiles on 125mph diesel sections. Originally the diesel was only suppsoed to be used on slower sections. This change occurred many years ago before they came into service.

@@MegaSim No bc GWE is mainly straight track with wide curves. If you run straight from Reading to Paddington and brake early enough (when passing through Ealing Broadway) , the ICE can't go so fast that it would derail.

It’s not on the roadmap, so not at this time. It’s nice to use the ICE though, and possibly the 395 when SEHS is released as it’s a relative of the 800 🙂

The IET Class 800 for GWR is in the same family as the new EMR Aurora (Class 810). There are slight changes but yea the same. They're based on the Hitachi A-Train, so cousins with the Class 395 Javelin from South Eastern

Not really, it’s not officially, or fully fixed but a bit of it has been sorted. Eg I tried to go from London to reading and had a red signal issue for the AI train

I create a scenario with one AI and the other me. With GWE, the AI needs to be on the fast line (125mph) whereas the slow line is max 90mph 👍🏻

You have to select an off the rails scenario in the scenario planner settings then you can put any train on any route ( if it will fit in the platforms selected however )

Use the title, description, tags and thumbnail to the full! You need to be searchable. It’s slow first but you’ll get there. I started in 2018.... i was at 600 before TSW2 was announced (June) and had a couple of popular videos that bumped me to 1k. After that, youtube look at you more and promote your videos and it will slow grow more from then. Try and be yourself and have fun!

This is the DB BR 406 ICE 3M using the livery designer for GWR colours. This is a TSW2 only train.

I mentioned in my latest roadmap video that it doesn’t apply to AI. They accelerate fine, it’s when you are driving that has the issue

@@wharris302 - It would make sense. Long gearing to save fuel as you don't need acceleration if it's an express train only stopping occasionally.

MegaSim 2 main -and obvious- reasons 1. Unreal 2. How can a electric and GERMAN high speed train go through tracks without WIRES? And no, it can’t go via third rail.

Its just a DB BR 406 ICE 3M in a GWR livery. I know the green isn't right, but havent got round to making it darker

I don't get why people love the HST. They were an important trains but still ICE is better.

Maybe you have not noticed that the HST is for the time period of the Line and the ICE German

It’s an iconic train that brings so much to modern trains. Even just the seats on the HST are more comfortable than the class 800.... man they’re uncomfortable! Not sure on ICE seating

@@MegaSim Well the 800s accelerate faster, can fit more people and are better for the environment/disabled. The ICE can go faster and has all the benefits of the 800. But to be fair I wasn't alive when HSTs entered service so I'm not that connected.

I’m up in Derbyshire, so love it when I go on the HST compared to the 222 meridians. The 222 engines vibrate the whole carriage even in 1st class. If you are on a constant stop start service, yes the fast departure is better, but you can’t beat a good trip on the HST 🤓

@@MegaSim Class 800 have a better environment for the driver improved safety features including automatic doors, as well as modern train management system.

This game gives me constipation because it is so anally retentive! Haven't managed to start a single fcking train outside of the training scenarios! Too much to do with my life to remember all the start up procedures!
