This is so true and for me here in the UK, my paternal Grandmother had a 3 bedroom house , nice big front room , all decked out with tv, 3-piece suite , tables etc and cling film on the settees. Nobody ever used the room, they sat in the pokey little backroom by the kitchen with a tv in it, all crammed in, absolutely ridiculous haha !! Anyhoo, I digress, just got TSW 4 ( stupidly ) and fancied adding a DLC to my collection, saw this and thought better have a look around for some videos on YT to see what it's like before buying as it's £24.99 here. I'm gonna be spoiled here and say this is a beautiful Dlc But doesn't feel right Not seeing the constant M8 Kawasaki 7 or 9 car set pass by more than the M7A and M3A But I'm glad to see TSW Expanding the NYC routes from Just the LIRR

I bought the route yesterday D-day. Frankly it's a superb DLC, I love the LIRR and the Harlem is really very very beautiful. I'm not very careful about small bugs and for me it's much better than the Sherman Hill for example. I'm having a great time on this road, DTG has done a good job I think, a bit longer and it would have been perfect, but it's already great! Thank you for your test even if I had taken it before because this faith I wanted this DLC more than anything. Zawal the Frenchi.

Why don't the new U.S. routes look as good as the German routes. Sand Patch Grade looks great, what happened to the rest of them LOL. weird

An hour is too short? May I point out to the whiners that, in Train Simulator, they actually shortened scenarios to have a maximum length of 90 minutes because, on older DLC, they found that the scenarios that took a longer time were more likely to not be completed in the play data they received. Donner Pass had the classic three hour scenario, to give a good example, and the full route takes at least five. Sherman Hill had scenarios of 90 minutes or more spanning the entire main line, and scenario packs now have multi-part scenarios as part 1, part 2, etc. So if whiners complain a journey is not long enough (TS20xx or TSW), I challenge them to create their own long treks across the full route and satisfy their own desires. They can even set a stop point at the end, swap to the other track, and go in the other direction for more tasks if they really want to.

The executive producer of the game is German, and while I don't think there's some conspiracy where they hate the USA, I do think having a member of upper management on the design team whose a fan of German rail and native to the German region absolutely helps with at least indirectly helping those routes maintain a standard of quality that's not always seen on the Western routes.

The lighting around the platform area of GCT is very disappointing. Penn Station on the LIRR has perfect underground platform lighting/ambiance but GTC looks like it’s having a power outage especially at the platforms. Almost no fluorescent lighting and the trains don’t reflect any of the little light that there is and just it just looks oddly dark. One of the highlights of TSW should be the upgraded visuals but I’m really not wowed tbh. I also hate there liberal use of those apartment buildings around 125th st that have been around since the release of the New Haven line on Train Simulator.

GCT looks ok but its lacking in color from grand central to Fordham, I hope that they add the New Haven line ik that it's going to be the same two trains but it just adds color to it, a contrast of the Harlem blue to the new haven red in my opinion.

Hello from Germany. Is the sound of the train when crossing a switch normal? I mean the sound of the track when the train drives over the switch. It sounds so strange. In long Island and all other regions the sound totally different. In same region in Trainsim classic this sound is I think the correct and real sound.

More routes where they can re-use old assets, slap another paint job on it and charge full price for it instead of taking their time.

This DLC is HIGHLY bugged. Holy hell, last night I played it and 2 out of the 3 missions in journey mode couldn't be finished because of AI trains being stuck somewhere on the tracks. The one I did end up finishing was an introduction of the second locomotive. As Charlie Brown is quoted as saying: good grief...

I bought this and not even 5 minutes into playing it was immediately disappointed and regretted my decision it was either Long Island Railroad or Harlem Line I chose Harlem Line and I think I chose wrong I bought this thinking it would be like a New York Subway type thing and stay mostly in the city unfortunately it's a disaster of a rude and I would say 70% of the route takes place outside of the city in the country😢 when will they put a good commuter Subway❤ into train Sim world
