I work on a Class 1 railroad as a Engineer on the Cajon ( Cahon ) pass and I’m just interested to see if it’s close or even similar to the real thing..👍 and the actual controls ( stand and wall ) it all looks exactly like that..good job.. and Automatic Brakes are for the cars, Independent is the Loco’s, and Dynamic are Electric Braking on the Loco’s…👌🏼

I'd love to see a few Australian trains. Huge distances and we also have the world's longest and heaviest trains being the BHP iron ore trains

I hope the community modders get cracking on this game better than they did with #2. I don't understand how Dovetail can consistently screw up the horn on every American train they've ever added.

Why does Dovetail always has the need to release another game which is like the previous two?! They could just make Train Sim World and just continue to add DLC and expand it... have everything in one place. Never really understood why the FIFA mentality and release more of the same... . Well i guess money but still...

You only have the locos in a consist, so you don’t need to use the automatic brakes. Automatic brakes are used when you have cars attached. The independent is just for the locomotives. And dynamic braking uses electrical energy on the traction motors. I’m a diesel mechanic for CSX and the in side of the cabs look legit.

This game needs a career mode where you start off with a simple train and you can buy more as you go on and also shorten trip times

The only problem i have with this game is i braked too late in the scenario mode, and it failed me, and you have to restart the whole thing, i spent over an hour and was almost done with it, wish you could rewind or something and take a penalty to your score.

Watching you approach the speed limit of 60 MPH, the loco steadily picking up speed, and you steadily commentating, I was thinking to myself, surely he knows what he's doing. LOL Window's Gamebar could be causing the hiccup you mention if you still have it enabled. It record's in the background 30 seconds of video at a time.

how about the map / route? what is the longest route? is there any route that long like maybe could take an hour or so? can we add other route from mod or community?

Has anyone else noticed in this run the complete disconnect between the max speed indicator on the hud speedo vs. the max-speed indicators in the upper right corner (that should give you advanced notice on all of that)? I’d say the indicator on the speedo is correct (max speeds looks reasonable to me vs. location)- but the hud indicators in the corner are completely out of sync and useless. I wonder if this only affects this particular scenario/journey, or if this is a larger problem within the route or in TSW 3 in general?

Have you played other train simulator games before . I’m looking to pick up one for the first time? I’d like to get one that has a lot of freight missions where you can deliver freight cars, and be somewhere by certain times and learn how to drive the trains which one do you think is the best?

Been trying to find a good train sim. Been laid off from work for the last 3 months and I wanna get back in a loco so bad! Might have to buy this game. It'd be cool if there was an option to get out of the loco to hook up the air hose ourself and checking hand brakes on the cars. instead of a waiting time.

what would have been really cool is if they had an american and euro train and truck simulator combined into one.

I’ve been engineer for the last 17 years for freight and passenger railroads. Playing these train world sim games are harder than actually operating real trains. I hate the Xbox controller with these games. It sucks to because the graphics are amazing on these games. Just so hard to navigate with a Xbox 1 controller

i have both Train Sim World 2 and Train Sim World 3, does 3 really simply replace 2? In other words, It would save me some drive space if TSW3 does everything that TSW2 does?

Great video. Was hoping to see some real fire but i guess they only can make clouds. Is a track editor/creator still missing from this game? It would be very nice if they add japanese and chinese trains. Is just me or the diesel engine roar sound is missing from this loco? The loco is going at full throttle and only hear a woosh sound like a fan working.

Cajon Pass, the "J" is pronounced as an "H', it's Spanish. So it would look like CaHon Pass.

5:46 jaggies ( jagged edges ). Same to me ( I am on a PS4 pro ). Why is that? Some PC guys have perfect graphics with no static, jaggies, shimmering textures, etc. No AA on console I know but why are you getting those as well if you are on PC?

Started playing this game on PC a few days ago and it's pretty amazing but just 1 issue The tutorials for trains, whilst they give you a basic run down of how to get a train moving, breaking etc i have done 4 so far and everyone of them never mentioned how to turn a trains electric on when you get into the cab. They all start with the train already switched on so when i went to free roam and jumped into a cab i was a little lost and needed youtube tutorials to help me learn the stuff the game tutorials fail to mention. Other than this it's a pretty cool game

A freight train shouldn’t go close to 40 mph up a 2.2 percent grade with three locomotives. Dovetail can’t get the physics right unlike Run8.

I wanna buy this game but idk how it works, is the standard edition only 3 routes as in, thats all you will ever drive through unless u buy other routes, or is it a part of the map where you can drive through multiple routes, for example Caijin pass has like 4 routes or smth

You should try playing train sim classic Raptor. The graphics aren't as good as this, but you have way more choice of routes and trains.

Thanks for the video. This is just stupid tbh they already did a dirty with TSW 2 that they had to push for x reason and we could not just keep TSW and they implied TSW2 would be the definitive platform that would build upon and expand. And now they come with a TSW3 anyways instead of building on TSW2. Dovetail can just go shove it.

Seems ok I guess you would have to really be into trains .. if not I’d imagine this would get pretty boring quickly. At least for me. I could only ride for so long until it would get repetitive I feel. But cool nonetheless

DTG dropped the ball again by bringing out a new version, instead of actually fixing up bugs from the previous versions... Still no multiplayer functionality, still no workshop content... basically we're stuck and locked into the game that needs some more attention. The concept is great, the dev work is appaling. Check out Anton Hand to see what a true dev is like with his product of love.

Won't be buying as the steam trains in the TSW2 "spirit of steam" addon have the pressure relief valve run when at the station making noise and ruining the experience, also cannot manually add coal to firebox. To me the spirit of steam leaves a bitter aftertaste if that means deafening the whole platform of passengers and oneself even moreso with the pressure relief and making their clothes damp at every stop. Surely in the age of steam this would cost you your job. Even in Microsoft Train Simulator back in 2001 the coal firing rate could be set and adjusted.

The game still needs so much work to be done on it as to Call your game a Simulator is just a Joke when it doesn't Sim anything to Real Life. Dovetail doesn't do the amount of Research they really need to do to make this game a True Sim, there is so much Wrong out of place things that the average player wouldn't see as a Real-Life Retired Railroader sees. The basics are horrible as the BNSF (MFD) "Multi-Function Display" screens icons aren't even set-up Real or even Look Real as to what they are in Real Life as anyone can go onto the Web and see real pictures of, and that's just 1 small thing Wrong with the game. This mission you started at the beginning of it before even leaving the Yard your Crew would ProForm a Brake Test on the entire train it's self-making sure you have 100% braking Not just Couple up and leave like you do in game (FRA) "Federal Railroading Administration" would Fire you from doing that in Real Life. when just using the Locomotives by them self's you want to use just the independent brakes Not the Dynamic Brakes as there slower and made for slowing down not to stop go, understood as if you don't care but that's their intent.

Still looks like they haven't fixed the frame stutters.... Was looking at upgrading from Train Sim 2020 but that's going to be hard pass.... super annoying...

Nothing exciting about a game, that should have been updated with a free patch like any other game…
