Drove these in real life for the past 11 years until they got retired from our company in march. Overall a well put together a package. Sounds are brilliant physics need to be worked on though. A 317 has most of its “meat” between 30-55 mph where it tails off. This one appears to have quite a flat acceleration curve. They should also add ALOT more wind noise. The seals on the 317 nose end doors were absolutely terrible 😂

I NEED this. Had a cab ride in one from Radlett to Moorgate and back when I was about 14. The driver to Moorgate was a friend of my mum and I had to pretend to the driver taking me back that he was my uncle.

Be good when the second series units come along I reckon it will be quite challenging for AP to implement the sounds as these sound different to the earlier 317s with the traction motors making an unusual sound when moving off and the electrical hum is much louder to a point where it becomes deafening inside the carriage compared to the earlier ones

As someone who frequently used 317’s I have to say those sounds and styling are spot on I’d say you might be right with the windows though but 317 seats are pretty low

Looks quite good, but what's up with the throttle animation (or lack thereof)? It just snaps into position when you notch up or down.

Beautiful! However, as with most AP releases, I do think the wheelslip tendency is exagerated / too frequent.

Something strange happened as the 91 passed you@17:51 The view through the window of the yellow door is distorted compared to that out of the main cab window. Hard to describe, bit the angles of the passing 91 don't line up its as if the center door window magnifies the detail more.... Other than that, looks to be a fantastic detailed model, and with the smile you had all the way through the video seems you were very pleased with it.

To be honest and most people wouldn't agree but those sounds of the 317 sound familiar like they've been copied from a Class 319 EP to the Class 317 EP, but it still fantastic that we have a Class 317 but the sounds need to be worked on more.

Tbh 317s have the same traction as 319s...BUT they do sound a bit different and smoother than 319s, and they are also alot faster at accelerating than 319s. Just thought people would like to know

Hi Alan Well I think I have got the message that you like this release very much.! But sadly it will be the last of your videos that I will ever watch ! I would say I have watched nearly EVERY one of your videos since they started. I have enjoyed nearly all of them...but the increasing interruptions for adverts have now spoiled my viewing completely. When watching just a mere 25 minutes of this, there were no less than FIVE interruptions for ads. I find this totally unacceptable and for me (maybe others too ?), I have had enough....no more Alan Thomson videos for me. It appears through watching videos produced by "TrainSimTV" for example, that the publisher DOESNT have to have any, or as many adverts included in their video. So I am not sure why TrainSimTV videos dont include many, if any, adverts compared with yours which include a lot ? Whatever the reason, I can see many of your regular viewers now getting fed up of the amount of adverts which are definetly increasing in your videos mate. Sorry Alan....but bye ! Derek
