PRO Range = Previous Recycled Objects What is wrong with these Locomotives models is they are a bit oversized in their proportions. Especially the cabs. I watched another person, whom is a real rail engineer and you are friends with Sean, who pointed that out. At the 48:13 mark when they are pretty much side by side, you can see the difference. And no that is not due to optical angle. He compared them side by side and the newer model is way chunkier. Those Brake Piston rods are way too long as he pointed that out as well. Also he found lots of unnecessary polygons due to parts modeled under the hood which you never see and are not necessary. Those polygons eat up frame rates as they still need to be rendered. Also one of his viewers stated that the creator of the locomotive bases most of the sound emitter points at the back end of the loco so that's why the selector sounded like it was coming from behind you.

Thank you for making these two part review videos. The route itself looks great (besides the two tree models and the lack of season files). What through me off was the rolling stock and the "new" engines. This is another reason I like your review videos and saved some of us $40.

It’s genuinely amazing how terrible most of this DTM stuff has been lately. If you look at their SD45, which was released over 10 years ago, the quality is about on par with the locomotives in this pack I’ve really lost interest in Train Sun over the past few years. Most of the stuff getting released these days is just complete garbage. Sadly, it seems like enough people out there just eat this shit right up. I’m sure some of the clowns over at RWA are already singing their praises of this route pack. Thanks for making these videos, and calling out the developers on this BS!

How do you add the AP Sky and Weather pack to this route? It's file structure is weird.

It's a shame we can't bulk asset replace (That I am aware of) like we can in trainzzzzz. One could replace the trees with better ones in a pinch. Then just use TS Tools to replace the stock with SS stock throw in some JR dash 2's and it'd be great. I'll def wait for a sale to snag this route.

N&w units had two different control stands southern units did not. Southern ordered their locomotives with high hoods because it was a loophole to the union agreement. The agreement said that three windows had to face the direction of travel so in order to get around this they ordered high hoods that only had two windows on both sides so they didn’t have to turn the power.

Last thing, I’m pretty sure I heard someone walking and talking on the pathway beside Saluda grade when you were in full dynamic, if you listen close you can hear them talking inside the cab as you pass by. Their saying those sounds on those locos are complete shit. The southern gp20 literally takes a hot steaming shit on the front and rear decks of these locos

Funny how these are touted as all new weathering in substance painter despite the fact it gives me half life 2 vibes, especially in the cab. It's sad that they put flexicoil trucks on these SD40-2s, which are supposed to have HTCs... He could've just reused the SD45-2 trucks and it would've been heaps more accurate...

Is it a good route?

( HSH )-High short hood and ( HLH )-High long hood were classified as. The "F" marker originated from the Alco RS1 units because crews were unsure which way the front was. OMG that SD40-2 being the First ever released Train Sim SD40-2 standard cab version for NS it is super quite like a New Tesla model 40-2 EV ha-ha Yes I understand Searchlight released a SD40-2 NS back a few years ago but that's a 3rd party mod loco that never was sold on DTG steam site or website, So this is Honestly the Very First NS SD40-2 Standard unit awful and the fact the Nose doesn't have a bathroom air filter on the side tells me it doesn't have a toilet! Yeah, those plows are God awful looking way to new, clean and Large looking and the rear plow would have been smaller than the front in RL, plus the cab interior would have been a pasty tan color Not green and the reason behind that why Tan and not green is to brighten up the cab more as it featured more front-end windows than the HSH units. My ears are bleeding from the sound of the Flang squeak. Route is the only thing Worthy from this DLC but Not at $39.99 more like $14.99 at most I would pay.

I’m not really tripping about dtm units sometimes you just have to love what you have and didn’t have because these developers jump ship quick I know a few cancer patients who play and wish for a lot of things to come but not sure if they have the time left on earth to ever see them let that sink in but at a few got they wish with this

Train Simulator is a disappointment. Throw it in the trash. Train Sim World is much better.
