This is second train Whistle Origins, but this time with British Railways in Great Britain!! 🇬🇧 I hope you enjoy!

1:08 if you ask me this engine looks like a 9f but they took the 2-10-0 wheel base with a 4-6-2 one

@@user-yn1fk9dh7n It's a BR Standard Class 7. These and the 9Fs shared a boiler (with minor tweaks) but the 9F was given more driving wheels to help with heavy freight whilst the 7s were predominantly passenger & mixed freight locos

Except Spencer said “Slowpoke,” in the US version of Hero of the Rails. He actually said “Slow Coach,” in the UK version of the same movie.

Re: no. 3 It’s possible that 5972 could’ve worn that same whistle at some point in her career given that there aren’t as many whistles in the UK vs. the US. Or she could’ve worn the whistle for the film. I’m a nerd for many things, so I always think of the possibilities and the what if’s.

5972 never had the whistle it has in harry potter (BR 3 chime) it had the usual two tone GWR whistle

Not exactly. Gordon was based off of an A3 class locomotive, just like the Flying Scotsman. They’re both brothers.

Why tf would they dub britannia’s whistle over the hogwarts express. They literally have an actual steam loco capable of whistling why not just use that

If anyone dies a lord accurate Thomas Series (live action with world building and a time period oriented plot) Gordon should have either a teapot or tornado’s whistle
