These are my second favorite kind of lizard. The great thing is they're not quite as smart as some of the other monitorso you can out think them. Which is important with reptiles that get so big. Water monitors on the other hand are geniuses. The water monitors are quick and smart. Both make great pets if you put the time in with them. But I agree with your comment. These do look like dinosaurs. These and Savannah's have such amazing eyes. For some reason their eyes remind me of an eagle's eyes.

@@PeterRobinson. My favorite are water monitors. I worked with animals my whole life, including animal hospitals. I heard they have the brain of a 4 year old. They are extremely smart for reptiles. I had to put a stick in the way so he couldn't slide his glass door open. He learned how to pop the stick out with one of his claws and then slide the glass door open. That lizard loves human interaction and will open his cage just to come sit next to me. But there bite can be vicious if you're not careful. Thanks for asking.👍🏽 Do you have any reptiles?

@@roundone7954 yes, I just got a small crested gecko recently, he’s in a heavily planted terrarium. I’ve had experience with keeping planted aquariums and wanted to expand into terrariums. 👍

No, that is not possible only on big lizards and more intelligent lizards like monitors tegus ect.
