Ours broke the other way....the pool was 37degrees....Celcius!!(like just under 100F) You couldn't even do a 50 in it.

Purselmer that’s how long it takes me to get to swim practice, 45 there 45 back. It’s not that bad.

@@Cerrack40 I spent all of my middle school years traveling 45 minutes one way to practie too - two times per day and it was not pleasant. I don't think sitting in the same position that long right before a race is good for you. Swimmers usually try to stay at the closest hotel to the pool. (My high school years I was only 35 minutes away one way, but an hour each way in the summer. It was so far in the summer that after a.m. practice I'd hitch a ride to the next pool and just stay there until the afternoon practice. ) Terrible way to spend the summer.

Purselmer jeez. When I was in middle school I started swimming year round and it was every afternoon and towards the end of middle school it was both mornings and afternoons. I was 45 both ways there too. It’s not terrible but you can do a lot of other things in 1hr 35min. But one meet like that isn’t terrible. Had a trip that lasted all day and night to reach the morning meet.

@@Cerrack40 I feel ya. Since I was in middle school, I had to be driven and I took a lot of afternoon naps going from school to second practice, lol. I also got really good and knowing cars, how traffic lights work (sequences, etc.) and music on the radio! Today my kids say, "Mom, you know EVERY song!" and I just say that I spent a lot of time on the road as a kid, lol. And no fears, all that swimming got me a full ride to an NCAA div. one school in a major conference. :-)

Purselmer woah. That’s awesome. I’m a senior at high school and this year I’m getting serious about swimming again because I was tormented(bullied by 8-9 guys and yes it got physical at points)in middle school and I was in a rough swimming situation where the coach I was assigned didn’t push me and instead held me back and my competitiveness crumbled. I was too caught up in everything to realize I wasn’t doing well in swimming. I moved up a rank in the yr team and got a better coach but he didn’t give me that much time. I quit year round after that year because that team changed so much. I went to another one before I had my junior summer and it’s been great! I finally am starting to get my old competitive self back. This senior year has been my most hectic, both grandfathers dying, my friends betraying me, irl girls that just want to bait me, and my own team mate telling other people that I’m easy to beat and another getting mad and stuff cuz I got into states and he didn’t. Everyone on my high school team thinks I’m the gold standard and it’s a compliment and it also pisses me off because I cannot race without the pressure of beating them every time or else they brag about it and try to act like they won a major award even though they lost the heat. But I’m gonna end this with every girl except a select few on Snapchat are the very cruddy. Some girl has been ignoring me for 4 days... She is on my year round team and I liked her a little bit but she started talking to me and kept talking to me. I don’t practice with her at all because she’s afternooner and I’m mornings. Any advice or knowledge you’d like to give me would be great because I don’t want to talk to her atleast for a month. Thx for reading it was pretty long.

Unfortunately in the individual 100 I don’t think he will as hell have to smash Adam Peaty. As much as I like Cody, I’m a Brit and will want peaty to win which I think he should
