It is always a pleasure to watch the gorgeous Emporio, and the pleasure is doubled when he moves, his movements are so elegant! He is calm and really attentive to the work he has to do. A very good thing with your comments is that you visualize how he should move and feel and know what your goals in movement and looks are. Horses speak in pictures and feel the Energy, you help him by aiming for a feel and rewarding him trying. You came really far and made a huge process and you seem very disciplined. You really are a horseman to look up to.

Emperio is the most elegant beautiful horse I have ever seen. He really puts his heart into pleasing you. Not knowledgeable in this type of riding but does your talking for a video cause a distraction in Emperio's concentration hearing your voice constantly. He is so special and really responds quickly to your signals. Emperio is all about pleasing and doing well. Such a magnificent Stallion. Wish him only the best because he is a work of art.

Phew, I very well know why I never seriously did the choreographed tests with my boy. For whichever reason, I always stood in the very midst in the center of the arena and was totally lost, simply did not manage to memorize the pattern. But Emporio and you are doing really good, I wish you all the very best with your test.

Ouuulalaaaa Matt, you and Emp are really looking snappy in the ring. It almost seems to me like the mental part will be harder on you than the physical part will be on Emp. He knows what he is doing and just needs your cues. I see a lot of progress since the last video. Can’t wait till the competition. I hope Jesse will be there to film your debut. So exciting!

Nice with the plantings. Remember that coleus can quickly get leggy, so make sure to clip off the growing tip to encourage them to get bushy

Extended trot is very tight in neck and back, no over-track, very little shoulder stretch, although the rhythm is too hurried there is clear rhythm at least so maybe a six, definitely bellow a seven, the transitions in and out would improve the extended hugely. Anyway At PG level most extended trots are extremely safe, but definitely you want to see an open frame without hurry, clear enough extension keeping the rhythm. Less flash at this level and more technically correct could score you a seven. His walk has always been the weakest link but I'm seeing some positive changes in the extended walk at least which is less pacing and is almost beginning to overtrack. I know he is a stallion but not sure why you don't keep this horse at home, he could do with more and different stimulace. One thing a PG test isn't is a field cleared of all distractions, if he doesn't get used to that little problems like the odd jog step in walk or loss of rhythm etc will more easily show up. Jesse should definitely be riding him to improve the walk, your legs are in the way lol.

I think Emporio has a nice walk. Well I wouldn’t know I’m not a dressage rider so I don’t really have a say 😂 But yeah, Emporio is such a fast learner and he does a great job, he just loves to please. I also love how his mane looks in braids like that, it is so pretty. ❤

Emporio is really coming along nicely. When u train, do your transitions beyond your point so he doesn't anticipate. He listens to your cues extremely well.

I was always taught to learn a test's required elements and transitions but only to ride the whole test a couple of times as horses are brighter than their humans and can learn very quickly and wreck a test by anticipating what comes next. :-)

Super nice Matt! This horse is super sensitive - I think your cues could be a tad more subtle - he is very patient with the constant talking which takes away a bit from your best concentrated riding - you two look great together.

Such an uphill horse he is!!! & his gaits have improved quite a bit since u 1st brought him home... ground poles REALLY help the walk... Emporio is just a lovely horse...well done u!!! Post script: he is a bit over corrected so perhaps do more exercises with just a simple eggbutt...
