Training Without Conflict® Podcast Episode Thirty-Five: Brian Aghajani
My goal when I started the TWC podcast was to provide knowledge and tell stories from true experts.
My guest in this episode is very much a true expert in his field and at the absolute top of the game as far as I am concerned.
He is someone I have known since my days in California back in the 90's and am happy to call a friend.
I am happy to share my conversation with the incredibly talented photographer, Brian Aghajani.
If you have seen an incredible photo from an IGP National Championship over the last 10 years, it is very likely that Brian was the person behind the lens.
He has been capturing and sharing incredible moments for years, but I knew he also had a very interesting story to tell.
In this episode, we dive into his history, both as a photographer and a dog trainer.
He shares incredible knowledge on what allows him to take the unbelievable photos that he produces and also shares stories on what was happening behind the scenes in some of his most famous photos.
I had a great time catching up and learning more about Brian and his expertise and I know you will as well.
As always, if you enjoy this podcast, please subscribe to my KZfaq channel to be the first to know about future episodes!

Forget about the skills as a photographer and I know Brian is great, forget about the dog training, forget about how good he was as a motor cycle rider, forget about how much he knows about cars, engines, etc., Brian and Jessica are the best people one would find!

As a very respected breeder of malinois, I'd be interested to know if you'd heard of a man named Kenny troiano chicken breeder and breeding mentor to breeders of various animals using his "founder's method" of various kinds of selective breeding at different points of the program how to clean up faults in a strain and take the strain with locked in appearance and traits to a repeatable line over time Very interesting stuff for anyone interested in genetics

Hey Ivan! you are a huge role model for me. Im 25 years old and I want to take your TWC trainer certification course and bring your awesome training methods to SC. Unfortunately, I got covid for the first time and now have mild long covid. I will get better in time! do you only host the course once a year?

Having a lovely night in. Drinking some wine and listening to this fascinating discussion. I just love how you've bought Brian in who isn't a trainer but has so much to add to your conversation. I'm a complete novice gundog trainer and the photos from two of the training events I attended this year in the UK, even as a really green newbie, mean the world to me. You train on your own day in, day out. Everything happens so quickly but those moments frozen in time let you look at your dog in a new way. It's an artform and I very much appreciate the work that goes into photography in the same way I appreciate dog training. Fantastic discussion - super interesting. Thank you both!

Another great podcast. I love the long format, not many people do it anymore in a society where our attention spans are shrinking.

Great interview. But, again, Ivan, please try to condense these podcasts to one hour. I am sure that you should be able to capture all the most interesting points in 1 hour instead of 3.

Think he's trying to capture and offer a more raw conversation versus a well edited and cleaned up podcast. I appreciate the rawness and longer editions as it's a great way to get to know these experts. Im sure there are pods out there though that do condense down and give you a more scripted feel.✌🏽🐾

i think the issue here is you view it as an interview, I don't think thats what it's intended as, its a conversation. Editing it to perfection would ironically make it imperfect ? Just my thoughts
