Trains at: Bournemouth, SWML, 24/06/16

A excellent afternoons session spent at Bournemouth station on the South Western Mainline where we see plenty of services from SouthWest Trains and just the one Cross Country service worked by 221 139 terminating in from Manchester Piccadilly and then eventually arriving again to form a service to Manchester Piccadilly.
It would have been nice to have caught a little more variety in traffic but it was very nice here none the less and I do recommend this station to anyone that hasn't been here before.
My next station is going to be from Birmingham Moor Street.

She certainly wasn't hanging about when she came round the bend, the driver was definitely confident. Glad you enjoyed the film

Did you say you were heading to the Chilterns soon? Dunno what times you are out but if you can you should try to get to Princes Risborough in the evening peak Mon-Fri. 17:30 - 18:15 the trains come thick and fast, you'll get the usual range of DMUs passing through (165, 168, 172) but you'll also get the 68 rakes, the slam door set arrives at the station at about 1800 and just before that (17:45 ish) you'll get the Bubble car arriving from Aylesbury.

I will be doing the Chiltern mainline as a series once I've finished my WCML series. So I'll keep those times in mind for when I eventually go there

As far as I know, the reason the service at 0:50 was shown to run to Farnborough Main instead of London Waterloo is because although it did run all the way to Waterloo, later train at 2:40 would overtake it (at Southampton Central) and get to Waterloo much earlier, so for passengers wanting to travel to Waterloo, it would pay off to wait for the later train. Farnborough Main was shown on the board because it happened to be the furthest station that was not served by the faster train. (I hope that made sense lol)

Yeah that does make sense to me hahaha. I've been on the slower train at Southampton before when I was overtaken by the faster service coming up from Weymouth

The one that he filmed, the 14:05, that started at Poole at 13:50, then I think it would have arrived at Bournemouth at 14:02 and then left at 14:05. Even now, they do still stop at Farmborough Maine, but some of them also stop at Woking depending on the time of day.

I’ve done it before and it’s an enjoyable experience. The south-western railway staff members now are very friendly and happy for you to film there.

I once stayed at a caravan site just north of Weymouth and changed at Bournemouth and cought at xc voyager to Southampton ctl and then on a SWTs class 442 to Eastleigh

The fool fool fool's run on the weekend. And sometimes, the 450s will do a few Denise. But mainly, the full 50s will do Jurin the week as well as the full full force.

How come you were on their way in that side? Because I normally get off on the London bound end, film a couple of services there, and then if I want to, then I cross over.

Bournemouth is a great town. :) I wonder if Thamselink will send their 700s to Bournemouth? The 700s have 12 coaches and run between Bedford and Brighton. They could also expand their reach to the West Coast Mainline for Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool and Glasgow. While they top 100 mph they can reach Scotland on fast services. I know you don't mark Independence Day but I wish you Happy 4th July! :-) June 23, day We as a Nation voted to leave the EU has been called Britain's Independence Day by Nigel Farage and Boris Johnson.

Bournemouth certainly is a fantastic coastal town and I love the station. I can't imagen the 700's coming down this far as it's not part if the Thameslink network unless Southwest Trains order some units for their services. But they seem happy with the Siemens units that they currently have

Or do one at Eastleigh there is lots of freight trains there is the Eastleigh depot with rolling stock as class 442 ,class 313,London underground no word of a lie and etg there are services such as cross country, South West train, and some southern trains and freight as I said before you can Google the Eastleigh train depot
