Trains at Bournemouth, SWML (3 year anniversary special: Part 2) - 8/4/17

7 жыл бұрынIn this video I visited Bournemouth station located on the South Western Main Line. Services are seen here by South West Trains and Cross Country.
Bournemouth was a very nice station to film at. Like Weymouth the service pattern can get rather repetitive but when the trains are enjoyable to see and film it doesn't really matter. The canopy stood out well and looked quite stunning. A station I definitely will return to.
My next station is Dawlish and this will be uploaded on Friday 14th March.

I wonder what's the distance by rail between Manchester Piccadilly and Bournemouth. I assume the journey time is roughly 5 hours.

+Syed Hoque Not particularly sure. You've got it about right though that there's about a 3 or 4 hour journey time between the two. 😊

Great video. Is it only SWT stations that have the 4 tone tune before announcements. It used to be in Axminster but I don't hear it anyway. Also you probably don't know and I win the award for the most random and dumb questions 😂

+JD the Trainspotter Yeah I agree it's not ideal. Good for a couple hours though but best to fit in a couple of other stations like Weymouth and Brockenhurst which are nearby. 😊
