UK Railway FAST trains at Dorridge station, Chiltern Mainline, including Freight, Express Passenger and Local trains in November 2020! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿
A Weekday of British trains at Dorridge (Knowle), West Midlands Snow Hill lines heading around Central England, United Kingdom. Trains include:
- Chiltern Railways Silver Set (Class 68 + Mk3s + DVT)
- 68s - Built in 2013/17
- Mk3A Coaches - Built in 1975/88
- Unpowered DVTs - Built in 1988/90
- Chiltern Railways Class 165
- 165/0 - Built in 1990/91 - Two or Three Car Units
- Chiltern Railways Class 168s (3 Variants)
- 168/0 - Built in 1998 - Four Car Units

Train Numbers - e.g. 43032 or 800110 - These are train numbers which are specific to that train. No trains can be numbered the same. Locos are 5 digit numbers where the first two numbers are the class of train e.g. 67010 would be a class 67. Set Number - e.g. WB64 or NL04 - These are semi-permanent loco hauled coach formations which are kept together for formalities. The first two letters usually indicate the maintenance depot responsible e.g. OC is Old Oak Common, LA is Laira. The number indicates the rake number.

Please do! Its a great place to visit; wide platforms, benches, tea shop nearby and some local shops as well. Even a level crossing not far from the station if thats what your into 😃

Another great compilation, great to see a mix of freight and the older Networker types! Something to be said for filming in the winter sun as well from an atmospheric standpoint 👍

Thank you very much! There's always plenty of variety on the Northern half of the Chiltern Mainline. I was very lucky with the lighting, this time of year is famed for being very dull so i thought it went well considering.

Yes it was/is! Some say the 172s are boring but personally, I don't see them much and they sound great so it was a worthy change from the West Coast! Great tea shop on the station as well. Highly recommend a visit if nearby. Thank you Ricky 🙂

That particular 68 (68013) was involved in an engine fire not too long ago, I believe the loco is at Crewe being repaired. Hope you are doing well Robert 😃

@@StarlifeStudios yeah Wimbledon is tough. I myself want to go to vauxhall or queenstown Road when the 701s are entering service. I guess once the virus is in the past( which will hopefully not be too long) it will be tonnes easier to trainspot.

Think so most if not all WMR services terminate at Dorridge or Stratford-upon-Avon I believe

When the West Midlands Railway Class 196 Civity trains enter service this year. Will they terminate at Dorridge. As West Midlands Railway will operate them on various routes including to Stratford-Upon-Avon, Hereford, Leamington Spa and Worcester. The 196s replace the 172s. Most will operate on WMR’s section of East West Rail.

Marcus is correct, I use a mixture of Realtime Trains, Traksy and Freightmaster for my destinations and train headcodes. Hope this helps 😃

Nor me! Chiltern isn't my home territory so the 172s and 168s made a nice change. That entire stretch of line between Syston and Ely isn't given much love. Ill try and work on that in 2021 :) Thanks Chris!
