Video: A busy day of spotting at Slough station on the Great Western Main Line, featuring a wide variety of electrics and diesels, and even the Flying Scotsman steam loco. It had been nearly two years since I last spotted at Slough and things had changed drastically, with the wires being live (of course) and the Class 800s and 387s close to dominating the east end of the GWML, and the TfL Rail 345s on test. It was certainly enjoyable to see so much variation in passenger trains, but quite sad to see that the HSTs and Networker Turbos numbers have fallen even more. There were quite a few delays that day though, with an unfortunate fatality in the Didcot area halting all services out of/to London, so some services were pilling up and crawling through the station at points.
TRAINS INCLUDED:
Great Western Railway (GWR) Class 43 HSTs & Class 165s & 166 Networker Turbos & Class 387 Electrostars & Class 800 Super Express / Intercity Express Trains (IETs), LNER Class A3 (4472) 60103 Flying Scotsman, TfL Rail Class 345 Aventras, Aggregates Industries Class 59, Hanson Class 59, DB (EWS) Class 66s and DB Schenker Class 59.
