An excellent and action packed evening spent at South Kenton station on the West Coast Mainline and London Underground Bakerloo Line where we see countless services from London Midland, Virgin Trains, Southern, London Overground, London Underground and freight from DB Cargo UK, Freightliner and GBRF.
This station was brilliant to come back to after nearly a year away from it, the monitors at the southern end of the station do tend to get in the way some times but I can't complain to much, for some reason the north bound 390 pendolinos made a horrible screaming noise when passing past the monitors. At first I thought it was because I was getting a little to close to the edge of the platform.
I had a slightly strange end after I had finished filming, I was waiting for my train to take me to Watford Junction when one of the station staff approached me asking what I had been doing the entire time I was there as apparently a couple of the LU drivers had got in contact with the control room because they were concerned about me because of the length of the time that I had spent at the station, their concern was that I was going to do something whilst I was there. So I had to convince the staff member that wasn't the case at all, I was purely doing train spotting so I showed him the film I had done and I thought that would be that. However it turns out that the BTP (British Transport Police) had been informed about me and it was actually them that got in contact with the station to get them to ask me what I was doing, safe to say I had an interesting evening.
My next station will be Birmingham Moor Street to start off my Chiltern Mainline Series.
